I'm a huge fan of Richard, I have the And it's deep too box set on everynight almost, great to sit back, listen and laugh too. One thing I've always found remarkable, was Richard's infuluence on generations that followed him, and it can be seen in almost everyone in some way. Ive heard that people like Eddie Murphy would hang around the comedy club just incase Rich ever got up.

the point isn't whether or not it stands the test of time you have to look at this kind of old school comedy as time capsules to what the world and people were like when they were doing this stuff. It's a building block for Murphy, Rock , Mac , Carlin, etc the same way Pryor built on what Lenny Bruce did.
