What's the maximum length for a trailer like that D: the ones for the humvees are bloody long, I'm aware there was more than one carrying all those humvees mind you. ;P
@Conellwuffie I re-looked at those, yea 5 humvees per car. They are ITTX chain tie down flatcars or saddleback flatcars with a 89 ft 4 in deck. From pics googling "ITTX flatcar" the flatcars are commonly used for shipping military vehicles.
I used to live next to a csx line that had 6 to 8 trains a day. I miss living there and after I moved the line cut down to only 2 trains a day and almost was closed. Today it has 3 or 4 trains and is leased by a shortline.
You need to build a deck, and invite all us over. So we can enjoy what you get to see every blessed day,and night. I'll being my own refreshments. Lucky you!! :)
NICE MAN you caught the 36A!! And SHIT, this is your BACKYARD?!?!?!! I'd absolutely KILL to be able to chill out back with tracks right there, let alone the Pittsburgh Line! Where do you live? I didn't know there was much triple track left besides over the mountain.
i want one!!!

I don't know why they don't bother to transport them in twin deck autoracks that are used for suvs.
Some of the equipment on top of the Humvees might need to be removed to get them to fit in those cars.
However, it most likely won't be needed till they get to Iraq or Afghanistan.
Just a suggestion to reduce costs for the U.S. taxpayer, that's all.
