I remember being asked to do a clay demonstration of the word appear. The scene was almost identical to what this gentleman went through. I became frustrated after many attempts to satisfy the instructor, and while he finally did give me an okay the whole thing seemed so pointless. Seeing how this scene so closely represented my own I can't help but wonder why they had us waste so much time describing one word in clay as if it really made that much difference in our understanding.
