  • Something quirky happens at the end but somehow it doesn't detract from this superb performance. I can't think of a "modern" pianist who does it better.

  • Yes, it's strange. Those sudden bass C's, D's and E's......Could she have been trying to "catch up"? Enigmatic. Otherwise, another HUGE movement by this gal....a real bulldozer storm-trooper....she should've lived forever....BRAVA

  • Tamarkina plays the bit starting at 10:40 somewhat differently than I've heard other pianists play it. Is she using an alternative score or something?
