I've ridden a hussy smr630 and a hypermotard 1100 and i dont know why. but the hypermotard is just better. i cant quite put a finger on why.

Might be because 630 is a pig and slow. No real SM bikes have a 2 year factory warranty period. 1100 hypermotard ain't even a SM, it's just a street bike that "looks like" SM. Dry weight similiar to sport bike lol?

On the other hand 510 SMR, 450/550 SXV, 530 KTM and 570 Berg are real beast street legal SM's. :)

Try out 570 Berg and I guarantee you won't be dissapointed. I sold my gsxr immediately when rode one. Bought my own spankin new 570 a bit over month ago.
