WOW just amazing graphics !!!!! Heyy take a look at my specs.....would they run my sim like that ? GTX 580 3GB Gddr5. I7 980x extreme edition 6C overclocked @4 ghz. RAM : 12GB DDR3 @1600 Mhz. And high performance liquid cooling from intel. Thanks !
@Rickos1996 if you bought it its in the manuals of the the plane, the QRH ( quick reference handbook) should have all the normal checklists and the emergency checklists. The manuals are located in your fsx directory, pmdg folder, PMDG 737NGX, Flight manuals. Or you can search online for one
@HartsfieldSpotting In what sense? If you're finding that the engines are taking too long to get going after you open the start valves (i.e. not giving you the 22% N2 that you need), commonly people leave the air conditioning packs on, they need to be OFF for engine start. Is that the issue or is it something else?
Hi mate, nice review of the pre-take off procedures, no doubt you could probably take off in the real thing if you had to lol, just one question, how did you turn on the gauges? I noticed you flicking loads of switches.
how do you start with a cold cockpit?? Mine always has everything operating.. its really annoying and I cant seem to find the settings for it.. Please reply if u know..
@bjovers1 Go into the FMC under "Menu," then click "Setup." The displayed page will have "load panel state" (or words to that effect). Click on that then click on "CLDDRK" (or similar), this will initialise the NGX's cold and dark panel state, with every system off. Bear in mind when you click "CLDDRK" it will take a few seconds to actually work, as that is a lot of processing the sim has to do all (i.e. turn off all the NGX's systems at once).
Hi great video!! When I try to set my fmc it keeps saying to enter ils position. Before I program it I turn both knobs on the overhead panel to align. Is it that you have to wait for it in real life or is there a option just to align automatically? And I think because it doesn't align it won't let me program a flight plan is that correct? Thanks
Just by the way .. The very left fuel pump feeds the APU as well. The APU can get fuel by it's own but usually the very left pump is turned on before starting the APU.
And I would use a different cost index :) Air Berlin for example uses a cost index of 15. It's kinda like how economic your plane should fly ;)
Hi and great job!! One thing I know for sure is that a FLEX takeoff is different from a DERATED takeoff. During a flex takeoff you basically do a trick by saying to the FMC that the OAT is higher than the real, so the FMC calculate a lower N1 limit for takeoff. I'm not sure of what the procedure is for the derated takeoff, but you seem to mix hte two things by selecting a derated takeoff and a higer OAT. May you explain me that passage? Thanks for the vids anyway!!!
The 738 doesnt use a flex like some of the MD FMCs do to my knowledge. Turbines are rated at a certain thrust @ 30C. There for you can derate just on setting the temp.
Great tutorial. I wish I learned as fast as you. FMCs aren't for me, so I'm trying to return my baby 737NGX... ;(. I'm used to the GPS. I wish it had a GPS.
@TheGreenCheekConure This video isn´t about showing people how to start up the NGX...it´s just to give people a little insight into the product! This is part of a review. Think before posting such nonsense!
@TheGreenCheekConure AND....if you are having SUCH problems starting this bird up...maybe you should have tried something lighter for starters? This is the upper class of addon planes. Also a little bit of reading helps.
Hi... can you help me? I am having abit of problems with the auto-pilot functions. After taking off and reaching above 1000ft... whenever I activate my auto-pilot.. only the HDG responded.. but my vertical speed deos not respond. For e.g.. i set to 4000FT with a VS of 1800FT... The aircraft does not respond but continue to climb above 4000FT... I have to depress the LVL change button then VS button again before the aircraft finally respond to my pre-set VS.
@FlightSimReviews on 1:35 you turned on the batteries and stand by power ... when i do that nothing happens, no lights go on nor does the ac/dc panel show any volts ...
Ohhh ok thanks for your answer ! Glad to hear that :).

Ya your PC would do just fine with this Add-On. My rig is a Intel 2600K @4.5 8GB DDR 3 and 2x 580s.
Again FSX doesnt take advantage of SLI or HT.

Cool video! IRL You might wanna wait with the Strobes until line up on the runway...they tend to annoy other people on the ramp and taxiways.

The DUs or displays will come on after there has been apu power for some time.

You have to do it through the fmc. Click on pmdg setup then you can switch it to cold and dark everytime you start it up
