Great music and video. Joe was definately very beautiful but I'm not sure I'd say "the most beautiful." Look at Warren Beatty in the movie Bonnie and Clyde. Look at him in the movie The Parallax View when he was in his mid 30's. Astonishingly handsome man. LIke it or not Brad Pitt is an incredibly beautiful man. Mick Jagger though not classically handsome was remarkably desirable when in his 20's an early 30's. Marcelo Mastrianni {sp} Marlon Brando. Dallesandro was right up there.......no doubt.
I don't see coldness or enigmatic at all. I see a young, absolutely gorgeous man who is trying to hold his own in a world of characters and confusion. He is still a gorgeous man, inside and out. I admire him greatly!
Secondly, he was in his youth, quite aware of the effect he had on people, but did not really understand it. Yes, that gave him a sort of "detachment" as one commentator noted. He nevertheless had close relationships with certain people outside the Warhol circle. I met him a thousand years ago and he could devastate with a look that was both engagingly tender and hopelessly distant.
Joe Dallesandro to me always seemed out of place with the really wigged out and fabulous superstars like Jackie Curtis, Holly Woodlawn or Jane Forth. He had a certain sophmoric quality to him.
Beautiful man. No doubt. Enigmatic, wouldn't be strong enough IMO. Seems to me that almost all of Warhol's "stars" and "satellites" and even the people who worked closely with him lack any sort of human "warmth." I'm not saying they are all necessarily cold people but when you look at them, look into their eyes they lack a warmth...........the ability to love and love deeply that is so much a part of humaness IMO. Maybe it is ambition. Maybe detachment. I don't know. Fascinating though.

First of all, Joe is quite alive, thank you.
