The important thing is, never leave your roomba unplugged for more than 24 hours with the battery in it. Thats how my battery died. I also removed my docking stations, they are too glitchy. I plug into the main unit itself instead.
It was only the battery which broke. I bought a new one and tried my new battery in the old unit. Works fine. So I ordered a new battery so I can have 2 roombas and double the cleaning.
Just a note.. my Roomba finally broke. It doesnt run anymore, prob the circuit board. I will be buying a couple more, it served me well for a long time.
