The movie wasn't good. Flaws which required a reboot was superman's son & the dreadful casting mistake which resulted in lois lane having little chemistry with supes. Singer really made some bad choices with this film.

I have to say that this was AWFUL movie all around, and made even worse due to all the expectations. What hurt most was that Bryan Singer would be so cluelessly off-the-mark after blowing us all away with X2. Everything was given to Singer including an unlimited budget, creative control, etc. to make "Superman Returns." I would have bet the farm that he would have knocked it out of the universe, but SR was unbelievably disappointing, lifeless, and not true to Supes' noble and enduring legacy.

Warner Bros. should stop complaining. The movie was good, they want to reboot the franchise because the movie only made 300 million. Who cares make a sequel already.

Yes...Warner needs to wake the hell up and release not only this directors cut DVD, but get started on a damn sequel. Brandon Routh was dead on at capturing Christopher Reeves Superman.

i'd like the new scenes with clark finding ship and discovering past...just less of the whole, "this is your son" crap..totally derailed the movie...

the krypton scenes should be in the movie and young clark discovering the spaceship,this wud make a huge difference to the movie.
