  • Hello... nice video..

I want to buy a Sony Vaio F Series with the standard HDD and then attach a SSD Sata 3..

Is vaio laptop Sata 3? I am trying to get that answer from Sony but they always say they don't know (?!?!?).. can you believe it?

where did you read laptop baio is Sata 3?

    thanks a lot

  • nice vid of boot time, how is the hinge on your SA holding up, I checked one out in store and the screen was wobbly, does you have any issues with the screen flexing?

  • 何円でしたか?

  • What's the song?

  • @Jakob968

Hazel, Fatal Attraction, a remix from a Commodore 64 music. It's free download.

Go to remix.kwed.org and then type "Fatal Attraction" in the search engine.

  • SoeN, you were right! The factory SSD is a Toshiba one, not a Samsung... My mistake ;) I just received my pc on semptember the 9th and checked it...

  • @Marcob1490

Aaah! You see! :) Well, ok it's not best SSD ever, but it performs quite well anyway :)

  • @SoeN212 Yep! It's not so shit, but while booting is few seconds slower than your... Maybe 1 or 2 seconds... Great PC anyway!!! I'm satisfated ;)

  • Wow! Awsome!!! I'm waiting for the same PC with the same configuration... But, why is you SSD a Toshiba? O.o On Notebookcheck i read it's a Samsung SSD.. Did you change it?

  • @Marcob1490

It's factory SSD, I haven't changed it. Maybe Sony got a couple of SSD dealers.

128 GB SSD option cost 310€ (here in France), and unfortunately, this SSD in only SATA 2 interfaced (220 MB/s read, 180 MB/s write). The VAIO is SATA 3 equiped. Advice: Buy the VAIO with a standard HDD, and install your own SATA 3 SSD, it will be even faster ^^

  • @SoeN212 Ok! tnx for the advise :)

  • @SoeN212 really how do you know it is SATA 3 6GB/s ready, I though it was like most other notbooks and only SATA 2 3GB/s ready.

  • @mota411 I have the same computer and the previous BIOS was SATA3 ready but because of some recurring problems they downgraded it to SATA2. It is possible through some hacked BIOS to get back the SATA3 mode.
