You know the Leafs would be .500 right now if they were as lucky as Montreal to win in OT or shootout. That's right instead of being 2-7-5, they would be 7-7. or if Montreal was as unlucky as the Leafs, they would be 1-8-7 instead of 8-8. So I think they'll reach .500 by the end of November or early December.

Hey a win is a win and I'll take it the way our season has been going, mind you Gustavsson saved our bacon and was the difference in this game.

Blake, Mitchell and Kulemin all scored and the ironic part of all that is I made a blog a couple of days ago saying that these 3 need to start putting the puck in the net, and there they are scoring lastnight.

Hey I noticed something last night with regards to Phil Kessel and I'm wondering if you saw this too Steve. There were two times when Jason Blake shot the puck from a bad angle, and cam ward just ate up, that I saw Phil curl his hand upwards, making a gesture as if to say, "hey what are you doing?!?". And yea Blake and Mitchell both played well but this line was supposed to be a lot about being able to get Phil the puck and to me he didn't seem too satisfied last night. Anyone else agree? Steve?

Wait only if its an away game. Otherwise there schedule looks pretty tough in December so if they cant get that one the will be in the new year with only 2 wins.

A win is a win, but....this game was sloppy, especially in the defensive end..Gustavsson made the big saves at the right time, something Toskala could never do. We shouldn't go pounding our chests too hard either..the Canes were missing their 2 best offensive players...and every time Beauchemin touches the puck , we are reminded just how good Pronger and Niedermeyer are.

Bottom line; if the Leafs play like that against a serious contender...they'll lose.
