If boxing match was like this I would look at it but its not. The fights are rigged and it is full of gangsters, con men and paper champions. Boxing is dead and thats why UFC is more popular. This was a great movie with a good story line. I never get tired of looking at any of the rocky movies.

@Thejoseph04 Boxing is not dead nor will it ever be, it is one of the oldest sports in the world and has just hit a low at the minute which has happened before in it's thousands of years of existence, it's already bouncing back. ufc will never have classics such as 'rumble in the jungle' 'thrilla in manilla' 'brawl in montreal' just to name a few with flashy names because ufc champions will never be household names, they cant even hold on to a belt for more than 5 seconds ffs. Sorry but thrilla in manilla sounds more like a vannilia ice cd. twenty years ago boxing was exciting to look at but not it has gone nowhere. The last HBO pay per view fight brought in 3.5 million viewers. I never said boxing was bout knockouts. Besides fighters in UFC are trained in different styles of karate and are in better coditioning then boxers. Boxers take six to nine months to heal after a fight. UFC fighters take a average four months. Boxers use eight ounce gloves while a UFC fighter uses a four ounce gloves. Boxing has reached it peak and it has not gone any higher then where it is now. UFC is where the action is.

@Thejoseph04 UFC is fighting, a flash in the pan and the majority of fightera are trained in ground work which is just plain boring to watch and is dirty fighting, boxing is an art and will never die. i can see it's popularity dipping again though once Mayweather and Pacquiao retire but there's a wealth of talent in the light welter division atm who have star potential and are willing to fight each other to find out who is the best. how do you claim they are better conditioned?

@Thejoseph04 There is only one form of karate, that is karate and UFC fighters don't train in that discipline often, it's mostly brazilian jiu-jitsu and wrestling. UFC fighters use lighter gloves because they don't punch as hard as boxers and don't need as much protection.

Kyokushin, Shotokan, Gōjū-ryū, Shitō-ryū, Shorin-ryu: just some of the popular forms of karate, there are more. Do some research before you you start talking about something as old and complex about karate, and martial arts in general, because there martial arts that have multiple styles within them

I seriously doubt any ufc fighters are masters of any of those forms though to be honest since it seems when one guy focuses too much on any one discipline they get beat. I would prefer it is it were one fighting style against another like a style of kung fu vs a style of karate, it would be good to see someone who is a master of one martial art vs a master of a different one
