  • I'm going to stick with AVG 9.0 for now.

  • nah man, i was using AVG but this kicks AVG's ass. Honestly it runs with a lower profile and doesn't take up as many system resources. Plus it has a better detection rate.

  • Great video! I'm using MSE on two XP machines. It has replaced AVG 8.5 free and Microsoft Defender. It takes less space and resources to operate and seems exceptionally good at finding viruses and other junk, as srajure said. For once, MS has an apparently good product and it is FREE!!!

  • Great video! I'll check this out.

  • Is this better than Norton Internet Security Virus Protection?

  • Nobody knows how it would turn out in comparison with other established antivirus programs. I would not suggest you to try it if you are using a commercial antivirus program (paid for)

  • Is that better than avast antivirus? Anyways, thanks for posting this video. It seems like a good program. By the way, would you suggest uninstalling avast if I download this program?

  • I found that Microsoft Security Essentials could detect several viruses which Avast couldn't. And I had to uninstall Avast in order to install MSE, because initially I wanted to keep Avast , but disable it from startup, but unfortunately Avast does not allow to be removed from startup, therefore if you want another antivirus, you have to uninstall Avast completely.

But I found that MSE is heavy on RAM. It uses more RAM than Avast, therfore if your are less on RAM, stay away from MSE
