the original line up were not as commercially successful as the keisha/mutya/heidi line up because due to their ages at the time they didnt get a lot of promotion. by the time they signed to island records they were all 18 so could be promoted fully. the first album was excellent, way better than the stuff put out since mutya left.

I think everyone seems to be forgetting that we don't actually know why Keisha was removed from the band. I personally don't think it was down to her being 'disposable', as in she didn't fit in with the band's new image or whatever. She may have done something genuinely bad enough to warrent being sacked. We don't know and probably never will.

Maybe Amelle and Heidi decided with that idea .

But in my opinion , Neither Amelle Nor Heidi has the authory to boot Keisha out of "THE SUGABABES" , I think that is for either mutya or siohban to decide.

But I don't truly believe Heidi or Amelle did kick Keisha out of the group - they wouldn't have had the power. They were upset with the situation undoubtably, but I don't think this alone would have been enough for the management to remove Keisha. I personally think something Keisha did, or a way in which she behaved lead to her ultimate dismissal: at the hands of the management - not Amelle and Heidi. But of course, I could be wrong.

During 2.0 people cared about them as individuals, but during 1.0 the majority of the public didn't know who they were. They'd heard of them as a group, but not as individuals. Mutya and Keisha only got noticed when Heidi joined!

I wasn't referring to Keisha and Mutya being in the band longer than Heidi, I was highlighting what everyone seems to be forgetting. Mutya and Keisha were, in the politest way possible, 'cold' to Heidi when she first joined. I just find it quite funny that she is still in 'their' group as the prominent member, whereas Mutya, for example, had to resort to going on CBB.

Perhaps, but in the eyes of many, she is the current prominent member taking over from Keisha as she's been there by far the longest. In a few years Heidi could be gone, and Amelle would be. At the end of the day, so what? They're only a girl group! A brilliant one, but a girl group nonetheless.

Although Keisha was the 'only founding member' during 3.0, to a large chunk of the public, Heidi was as well due to her being there when they truly got successful. Only now does it feel like there's 1 'original' member left as Heidi has been there for ages now!

Well many fans disagreed with Keisha being disposable, she was there out of 7 of 7 albums, since she was 13 and she'd seen it all. If management could do that to Keisha, a girl with all of that lifetime experience, even more experience than Heidi, what's to say they would never do it to Heidi. Therefore, Heidi IS disposable, just like any of them.
