Sarcoidosis is an immune system disorder that can make it hard to breathe, inflame lymph nodes in the neck and in the chest and cause bumps and ulcers to break out. In 2005 it went into remission but he died from complications of pneumonia. The good always die young. Bernie we will never forget you.

i gotta say Steve Harvey's morning show is pretty funny, especially the strawberry letter segment, but it doesn't compare to the make-me-wanna-cry laughs Bernie gave me. ;] Chi-town misses him.

Some say Mac was one of the best black comedians. I say he was one of the best comedians FULL STOP. Loved his movies, but his standup was the best. Ive been following this man for some time now, fromhis early standup, right through to Original Kings, and his Hollywood breakthrough. Fantasic role model to all - humble beginnings, but through detemination and love, life is what you make it. So sad I won't see him live on stage! So happy he has made me laugh till I cried. Rest In Paradise Bernie Mac. This breaks my heart. He was diagnosed with sarcoidosis in 1983. Sarcoidosis is an immune system disorder that can make it hard to breathe, inflame lymph nodes in the neck and in the chest and cause bumps and ulcers to break out. In 2005 it went into remission but he died from complications of pneumonia. The good always die young. Bernie we will never forget you.

Bernie broke so many barriers and rose from so much opposition...he remained HIMSELF throughout it all...he didn't have to be Bill Cosby to receive a tv father award and I think that says A LOT about who this man is and what he has done to shape our views on family life as it is portrayed on television, comedy and just the will to survive, no matter what.
