  • pas assez ambitieux.

  • That drummer at 1:56 till 2:00 is so creepy

  • @4:35 oh shit! i always need star power for this part!

  • I want this man to play this song at my wedding someday.

  • Well i love Patrick Watson but that last part almost sounded like Radiohead lol Somebody ha to tell this :P

  • ...that final guitar solo was... AMAZING

what fuckin signature was that? what scale was he on?!

    DAMN!

  • a raw emotion turned into a song.. love it

  • this music blows out my fuckin brain...beautiful...

  • I love his music, it's so haunting.

  • This song sounds like Tom Waits'

  • That ending was amazing.

  • check out M Ward.x

  • i really like his singing mimic^^

looking forward to see him in august. :)

  • SOooooo Amzing!! i really wish he would tour in the UK = [

  • hes playing in london next month

    the venue is called union

    tickets still avaliable too

  • Patrick Watson @ union chapel was obscenely good. Couldn't think straight afterwards, forgot how to use the underground, missed my train, and my girlfriend lost her ticket. That's the power of good music in the right hands!!

  • maaaaan i know

me and my mate just sat with shocked expressions

i really didnt know live music could sound so good

    i still cant think straight

    amazing

    truly amazing

  • i saw him in london this summer man. he'll be back.

  • This guy is pure inspiration.

  • i saw them in victoria bc, i never saw someone rock out so hard on guitar sitting down. lol

  • amazing!

  • Patrick Watson is a genius, im surprised not more people know of him..

  • @cdorgan08 Actually, I'd be surprised of the contrary.

  • This guy is a master at capturing an audience. If hes writes this stuff than even more props!!! Dude this is sickK!!!!

  • Of course he writes his own stuff, this is mtv CANADA

  • does anyone know what kind of guitar simon is using?

  • Vow, this version is 10x better then the album version ! :D

  • haha i feel sorry for the drummer during the outro, having to keep the tempo for that must be challenging

  • hes got such a unique voice.

  • i love the expression on his face!

    it's beautyful <3

  • amazing band, saw them yesterday and after me and the singer went and smoke a cigarette :p

  • I just love the ending. ^^

  • that was pretty solid, very unique. but i must say, the last minute of the song was terrible at best. i know live performances usually include solos, but that was no where near "music" even. just end the song the way it's supposed to be played and dont go try to be a hero

  • that was the idea man,

it's not their botching the ending, they're intentionally beating the shit out of it. Music doesn't always have to be melodic or even sound good to do the trick

  • i love it. it manages to turn the song into something entirely different while not simply descending into noise. good word, patrick et al.

  • i can definatly respect your opinoin and can't help but partly agree -but- its not supposed to sound good, obviously, they're just having fun and being unique it sets them apart which is more important than ending like any other band would

  • its called deconstruction....think of 21st century schizoid ma, etc. king crimson used that technique a lot. patrick watson are great because they have so many diverse elements...classic rock piano ballads (floyd, supertramp, etc.) , prog, jazz, soul, indie rock, ambient, chopin and satie, etc....they are very talented musicians.

  • damn good stuff

  • WoW psycho-dellic! He he*

  • They are suuuch great performers.

  • i love this song its so good

  • i actually agree with the modest mouse thing. not his voice, but the song in general. 1:06 is so modest mouse.

  • The guitar is a little bit Johnny Marr, i agree. But then Johnny Marr is an excellent player.

  • i met the guitarist and bassist last night. sound guys.

  • He's really good<3

  • every artists is their own artist stop trying to compare him to what he sounds like. tbh i think he is unique in his own ways and i like that.

    i like a lot

  • a year ago i met this charming man in a concert in Cannes.I was really impressed by his voice, his performance

and his charisma. He had this low profile modesty that only true stars have, but all the while i was thinking about your question, chris or jeff??

I made up my mind but the show was over,it's a shame that he was right there

in front of me and i didn't pay the proper attention to his art cause i was so busy trying to categorized so stop thinking and start listening..

  • Excellent. Haunting. Deep. and moving. Great work. Enjoyed it thoroughly. Refreshing sound.

  • this reminds me of modest mouse

  • he reminds me of chris martin from coldplay...boo

  • No way.. Jeff Buckley.

  • well, after listening to some of his other songs i had to go with martin over buckley. come on, you know it.

  • you know what...you're right too. it's a love child ladies and gentlemen!

  • Marre des critiques musicales formatées. Cherche dadarockcritic sur Google et tu entendras parler de Patrick Watson...entre autres.

  • and soo clean, that sound, it's freakin weird, his voice, as sharp as jeff's voice :P he has the voice chris martin wanted to have i guess

  • Patrick Watson rocks so muuuuuuch !!!! :)

  • brilliant.
