  • Holy Christ!! I have been lost for years and have been never able to fit it all together because I have never had anyone or anything playing behind me. I think I have learned more in the last week than I have the last 30 years. I know I have had a LOT of fun!!

Also, it 's true--less IS more!!

    THANK YOU!!

  • @holymackeral456 hey holy macrle how young are you im 47 and just now finding backing tracks and scale charts ben playing for 40 years

  • @holymackeral456 thats where i been to .....kinda... Rock On!

  • @holymackeral456 No it isn't. Less is less, and more is more, but sometimes less sounds better. Although a lot of people take this too far, remember sometimes more sounds better to! Whatever you play just make sure you play it because it sounds bitchen. Fast or slow niether is better, and ideally if you use both you'll have more tools to express yourself.

  • Hey all I put my video response up just recently...it's the first one of the two...please check it out....and for all the people arguing on what key this song is in...for the record everyone is right...watch the video and please comment...thanks!

  • Let your own ears decide what works and what doesn't. Just my 2 cents.

  • indeed, you should feel the blues instead of trying to explain it with theory

  • this is a great jamtrack, but the people making the comments....please only say something if you know wtf you're talking about. damn.

this is the blues. play the blues. minor pentatonic, or blues scale, plus passing tones. it is in the key of A. not A minor.

  • the key is a ,but the pentatonic scale is a minor

  • can be. you can play major pentatonic as well a la bb king

  • naa jus play it in the simple a minor

    gives a buitifull sound

  • Benbeck, if you play it in only one thing it's going to get boring. For me, what makes soloing interesting is combining major pentatonic with minor (and not just in A but sometimes in D and E to accentuate the chord changes), and also throwing in some scales from seventh chord arpeggios. If you just play one scale its going to get very repetitive.

  • A major scale over this progression, sounds a bit odd at 7 th note .. how about A mixolydian cause the 7th note is dominant ... .

  • Over the one chord you'd play A mixolydian, but over the five chord you'd play A major (E mixolydian).

  • ya thats right i was just talkikng about one chord there mixolydian sounds good in 7 th chord ..but its a blues jam so pentatonic with flat 5the is perfect i guess ...

  • Thank you so much i lov these

  • nice i like it i like it alot

  • (1)A7 (4)D7 (5)E7 blues sequence in A minor, I think you can use A major temporarily over the E7 but best go back to A minor just before the D7 or it will sound bad.

  • You can use A major over the whole thing. It gives it a country flavour. Blues players have been swapping major and minor since the creation of the blues. Definately more than just over the five chord.

  • The reason I said A major over the V in particular was probably because it shares that in common with a major key, whereas the other 2 don't. Personally I would prefer to use a number of different things other than A major over the whole thing.

  • This is great! dude... if you can do a full blues jam cd I would def buy it. I've bought and used many jam tracks to practice my soloing and your tracks sound so natural. Great stuff.

  • What key is this in? I like this melody.

  • It's in the Key of A/Am.

  • More please - excellent!
