All of the people questioning why Notre Dame blitzed on this play, blitzing on 4th down is a good idea, the design of the blitz or the execution might have been bad. If Weis called for the defense to play back and soft on this play you would all be criticizing him too.

That catch still gives me goosebumps when I see it! There were so many priceless moments in the final 90 seconds of that game:

- The ball fortuitously flying out of bounds to stop the clock.

- Charlie Weis and ND players and fans jumping the gun and taking the field, only to be escorted off it 60 seconds later.

- Leinart twisting and turning into the endzone.

- Reggie Bush bouncing around like a jumping bean after the touchdown.

... but Jarrett's catch tops them all. Simply amazing.

I was at this game too. I think my ears are forever ringing. Hated the ending, but probably greatest game I'll ever see in person. I still think this was a better game than the Texas - USC Rose Bowl.
