OMG! I just realized how alike our hair is. Yours is thicker and awesomer, but from what I can see and how you describe it in general, if not hair twins, then hair siblings? Cousins? Lol...your videos inspired me a lot while I was still transitioning and had no idea what my hair would be like, and now that I've big chopped, I'm kind of psyched to see my hair is a bit like one of my hair idol's !

Hey NikkiMae I actually found The Jane Carter solution at Target and I brought the leave i'n conditioner I was not impressed my hair type was not made happy nor sad I checked the ingredients and they are not all natural...glad it did your hair great bc your hair looks great!

I totally understand what you're saying. I add leave in conditioner, moisturizer, and oil [together] by hand after co-washing. It seems that the more I touch, the looser and more frizzy the curls. I may have to try these products. Now, how much 'hold' is in the gel product? I know it say light hold, but I would like it to light enough that I can manipulate my hair in less than 24 hrs w/o water or hair breaking. Thanks.

When I wear my hair out like that I can't help but touch it constantly. I like the way my ringlets feel lol. I pull them and then let them spring/bouce back. Women say how they like how relaxed hair feel but I never touched my hair as much as I do now with natural hair (especially natural loose hair).

I've been doing a lot of thinking recently after seeing highlights of Chris Rock's movie GHBH he showed that Black women spend about a couple billion on market, and ever since then i have been so conscious of how often i buy products for my hair. Not that i ive been doing that but i really am more careful.

I do want to try but if it doesn't work then i'll be stuck with it and kick myself for spending more of God's precious money

What is the texture of you hair? I mean is it 3A, 4A or soft coarse or hard coarse? I just love your afro, but I can't imagine getting ringlets like that with my very coarse hair.

@MsLlapointe you should be fine as along as you aren't over applying products. you dont want to have build up on your scalp. aslo try a cowas every 4 or 5 days.

I always have that prob when applying gell to my hair my hair just ends up losing all the ringlettes =( so a spray gel prob is my solution thanx Mae BTW love your fro
