I think Randy told his backup singer, who backing up Carrie with the vocals, don't try following her up to the high vocals because you will never do it. Carrie can get that high with such ease.

I like the way, Randy keeps trying to keep a stoic face while he listening to Carrie sing his song. But he can't keep it stoic, especially when she sings the high note with such ease.

She's singing I Told You So, not Jesus Take the Wheel...It never ceases to amaze me how amazing She Carrie is the true mark of an amazing singer who will undoubtedly be around for a long time. With a voice and heart like hers years from now she'll be thought of as a living legend.

@row759 I know, I was just correcting the person who posted the video because the titled the video Jesus take the wheel, instead of I told you so. But thank you, and yes she does sing the best version of this song. I love Randy Travis, he's legendary, but Carrie is amazing on this song.

@Musicfinatic7 yeah, at end of this video, Randy even acknowledges the fact that Carrie's high vocal power is much better suited to this song that Randy's low vocals. Not many singers have that kind of power and as a clear vocals as she does. Some singers can get that high, but it isn't that clear.
