  • 2 and 5, best line in the Bronx :)

  • @bronxrell I wouldn't go that far lol!

  • @JamaicaQnzFreak when there's no construction and delays, it's my favorite! lol. What's your favorite bronx line?

  • @bronxrell I hear yeah and 4 and 6 lines are my favorite!

  • @JamaicaQnzFreak I like the 4 too. I rarely take the 6, but it's cool. I like the view when you look eastern because you can see Throggs Neck and Queens. It's really nice. One interesting thing about 2/5 and 6 lines when riding past Elder Ave and Whitlock on the 6, and Simpson street on the 2, you can see both lines from across each other.

  • And when either the 2 or 5 is between West Farms SQ and 180st, look carefully towards the east and you will see the number 6 line.

  • @bronxrell Okay!

  • im guessing you took this in the morning rush. since thats the only time the dyre express southbound runs

  • @captainbly200 No this was done on a weekend!

  • looks better now than in the 1970s then it looked horrible anybody here remember the 3avenue el

  • Hehe youre welcome. I suscribed in case you upload more great videos. I forgot to mention that I actually live across the "waterfall park" right between 180th stop and east Tremont avenue. So cool to see someone shoot a great vid around my area and put it up. Cheers!!

  • Oh you live by them buildings near the Bronx Zoo entrance on Boston Road? And I got a West Farms Square-East Tremont Avenue vid you can check out!

  • Yeaaa those buildings. The orange ones. More specificially, the one next to the river that flows down from the zoo. And yea definitely will check out that video and let you know.

  • Oh ok!

  • upload the other part then....sheesh...lol....gr8 video!!!

  • Thanks and there is no other part of this vid!

  • Awesome video this brings make memories when i used to go to high school. I used to take the 2 or 5 train to grand concourse and transfer to the 4 train and from the 4 train i head straight to moshulu park way in up town.

  • Your welcome....thanks for looking and glad you enjoyed the vid!

  • I always wondered, do all nyc subway trains have the same speed abilities, or do some lines/models have more/less.

  • It depends on the train models.....some are fast and some are slow!

  • I always wanted to know what those wires are for on the side of the fence? anyone here know?

  • Those are barb and razor wires if those are the wires your talking about. It prevents ppl from crossing over it or trying to enter a unrestricted area!

  • so the wires at 1:32 are to keep people from trying to enter an unrestricted area?

  • Lawd I thought you meant in the beginning in my vid.....1:32 idk are those wires for!

  • I remember when my mother use to take me to 3rd ave. to go shopping for my school shoes and I use to live in Eagle Ave. I miss those years so much. Thank You for sharing this video. It brings so much memories.

  • LOL....that was yrssssssss ago. I know of the subway cars your reffering to!

  • What's it like riding the R142's? When I grew up in NYC-I usually ride either the IRT stainless steel or the classical Redbirds.

  • Its wonderful....love the propulsion, the automated annoucements and the ride is confortable!

  • I think from East 180th Street you could probably walk to the Bronx Zoo. I looked at the Subway map and I can see the Bronx Zoo is close to that station on the map.

  • Well W. Farms Square-E. Tremont Avenue is closest to The Bronx Zoo!

  • What is the number of this train?

  • Its the 5 train!

  • But that's not going to happen!

  • Yeah they are....I wish they go back to their old signs!

  • Yes it is....that's why I love the 5 when its express in The Bronx!

  • Huh!

  • I took this train so many times. I live near the last stop of the 5 Train in Eastchester-Dyre Avenue! Is there any chance you could film there?!?(I might meet you in person).

  • Oh I didn't know you live in the Bronx. I wanted to film the Dyre Avenue Line from East 180th Street to Eastchester-Dyre Avenue!

  • Wow, when?!?

  • Probably this weekend or next weekend!

  • Alright, can't wait!

  • 5 Downtown exp, that trains hell in the am rush hour, but not bad quality.

  • Oh ok!

  • when i be on the 4 stoppin at 59 street and when i try to transfer its always construction or they rerouted the F somewhere else

  • LOL.....are you serious? We'll bump into each other again somewhere down the line!

  • lol.... yeah we mite jus gotta be in the rite station at the rite time i only drive the 4 and 5 trains now

  • LOL....that might just happen. I have a feeling we'll bump into each other on the 4 line since that's your favorite train!

  • yeah we most likely wud then huh how often do u ride the 4 train

  • Not that often unless I'm in the vicinity of the 4 line or taking it to the Bronx or Brooklyn!

  • oh okay thats coo.......... wat line do u take frequent

  • The 7, E or F trains and sometimes the Long Island Rail Road!

  • oh okay...... til this day i have never rode the F train and everytime i got the chance to it was always construction or it was rerouted

  • Where you wanted to ride the F train from?

  • Everytime I see this stop, I think of the Bronx zoo. I miss new york. :-(

  • Aww....so where you @ now?

  • I live in Minneapolis, Minnesota right now. :-(

  • Oh wow....how's the transportation there?

  • It sucks. :-( Nothing like New York at all.

  • LOL...aww. The service sucks here also, but I get used to it!

  • Where do you live now?

  • I still live in New York City....Jamaica, Queens!

  • I use to live in Jamaica Queens, on Hemstead and 220th street. Now I live in Richmond VA, but im moving back up to NYC in April. I hate the south. NYC is the best city on the planet. Thanks for posting this. Makes me feel close to my real home.

  • I love New York City...but not the people lol...just kidding. Your welcome and thanks for looking @ my video!

  • i love NYC especially Queens too! Atlantic City sucks like hell

  • Same here, but I like Atlantic City though!

  • i use to live in Queens. I miss taking the R train at Grand Ave-Newtown and the E to Jackson Heights-Roosevelt Ave

  • I used to live in the Bronx and I miss taking the 6 train to either Parkchester-E. 177th Street or Morrison-Soundview Avenues!

  • Thank you!

  • u know where i can find the run on the 6 from 33rd to 42nd? Or 96th to 125th?

  • No, but I'm sure someone could to that video!

  • Yes there are sill some R62 5 trains. I havent been on that segment since moving to Pelham Bay Park, and then moving to San Juan Puerto Rico... I miss the trains so bad. They got one here, but it's not a big deal

  • Well I've only seen one R-62 5 train, they were R-36 Redbirds on the 5 trains then came along the R-142's!

  • I wonder if they're any R62A 5 trains

  • I don't think so, but several years ago I saw a R-62A on the 2 train!

  • Upload that, 'aight

  • What is there to upload? the R-62/A's are on the (1), (3), some (4) and (7) trains. The R-142 are on the (2), (4), (5) trains!

  • oh okay

  • BEST Express segment in the Bronx.

  • Thank you!

  • why is every numbered train you ride they are doing contruction during day time they usually do it during late nights

  • They were fixing the tracks and the weekends is better...late nights also but if its late night they have to finish by AM rush hours!

  • wow, i ve never been this far on the lexington trains(4,5,6), i think on the 6, i once went to westchester, but i always got off on 116th st

  • I love the entire 6 line or elevated stations....but I think they need 2 fix the stations!
