I remember I played this when I was little. I left it on pause and my Mom started playing. She threw them in the water, and I walked in the room (bathroom break) to watch them DIE. All of them were red. I cried for three days and she never touched any of my games again.

The con of that was that I never played Pikmin again. EVER.

anyone else think olimar is a jerk? He comes to planet by acendent and pretty much kills so many wildlife creatures and maybe extincts a few just to save himself! Its still fun so ya AWESOME

you can throw at least three yellow pikmin with bombs without worry.

@BigBossMan538 It's pretty obvious that we all want a Pikmin 3 for the Wii and that has already been confirmed. Yes I would put those two on there but that's not a list I'm working on, nor do I plan to do that one.

My least favorite enemy is probably the Wollywogs,I hate those guys! -_-

An big issue that I have with this game is that a lot of times whenever there are pellets or dead enemies laying around,the Pikmin always have to pick them up and carry them back when you don`t want them to,and you have to call them back. Same goes for those grass patches/rocks that give you nectar,and sometimes they will go after an enemy that you are trying to sneak past,and have them chase after you,I hate that!! -_-

@AmpharosMan64 I couldn't agree more about the pikmin, they seemed to have fixed this in pikmin 2. My least favorite enemy would have to be the spotty bulbear. ESPECIALLY in Pikmin 2!

@Camooso The Spotty Bulbears are not that bad,just get some reds,sneak up behind them,and then swarm them from behind,same thing applies for the Bulborbs. Haven`t played Pikmin 2 yet (but I plan to in about a week for my birthday),how bad are they in that game? =/

@AmpharosMan64 ok, say you kill it, then you leave it alone for a while, later when you go back to where you killed it, you'll notice it's gone. Later, you explore the area a little, THEN, it sneaks up on you and some of your pikmin. Long story short, they come back to life.

@TheRaker55 Forest of hope. Before the area where you find the yellow pikmin you should see a stone wall on another side, blow it down, clear out the enemies, and have blue pikmin with you so you can move a box. On the other side are the Snagrets.

for me tthe worst enemy is the damn mushroom the first time it was horrible i didn't knew he could control your pikmin and make them go against you....i thought he upgraded them...i was a noob

I totally understand what you mean about the Snagrets. i just got Pikmin about two days ago, and I was getting a treasure in the Forest of Hope. When I reached its location, not 1, not 2, but 3 Snagrets appear and massacre all my available Pikmin! They probably ate about, oh I don't know, 60 PIKMIN!

I beat this just a few days ago... I'm just beating myself for not picking this up earlier! Seriously, I absolutely loved this game!

With that said, I also absolutely SUCKED at it! Oh sure, I managed to find 28 out of the 30 pieces for the ship, but I'm an AWFUL leader! Altogether I sprouted over 1300 Pikmins... 275 SURVIVED! Yeah, over a thousand Pikmins died because of me! XD

I agree with Yoshinator. Limited days were annoying. You had infinite days in the sequel which made it more fun to play. If they make a third game I would like unlimited days in that as well.

I just did. And I was over all happy with It exept for the part that I don't have a 64. I really need one. As of now my favorite systems are gamecube and xbox 360. Why?  Gamecube was by far my favorite system growing up and I have at least 50 games for it. Xbox 360? I like it because of it's amazing graphics and I LOVE Xbox live. And guess what. With Xbox live. Right now I will go buy Banjo Kazooie! XD

But I did make an intro. Reviewed: Pikmin then I told the storyline at the beginning. If it's a fancy intro for ones like Wind Waker or StarFox Assult then I don't do them for all of them, sorry but I'm just not that creative.

and no offense but what is usually in the intro for a review (I mean introductory speech) is the genre and the first part of your opinions of the game (something like your first impresions of it)

The minimum amount of parts you can get in the game is 25. But only 5 special parts are unneeded.

This game is 1 of the best GameCube games out there, A classic. and with the Wii version which is the same game but different controls in just made it better, hopefully the 3rd will be coming out soon! Oh, and great review keep it up

I remember my friend playing this game while I am bored off my anus and I got to play it once I got my Wii and unfortunately I disliked it because I always felt rushed and I like taking it at my own pace, which Is why I loved the sequel. Great Review, Very in Depth.

I'll just make a few cookies or biscuits, the difference is biscuits are flattened with a rolling pin and punctured so no air gets trapped, while cookies are baked as a ball of dough and allowed to flatten on their own in the oven.

I've read that in the new play control Pikmin 2, two players can play the campaign, this combined with two experienced and well coordinated players would make an extremely short game, but it would also be more fun than the original.

I remember it saying something about co-op, I don't know which mode it was supposed to be in, but it's still probably worth renting the game just to find out.

I remember this back in 2001 thinking not much of it. Its one of my all time favorite titles.
