lol.. you played it way good, and you can notice it in the envy of some of the responses... of course, there's a more efficient way to play it, but this way, despite of being harder.. sounds way cool...
Some of these people expect you to sound just like Vito did with overdubs, effects, and a sound board to make the song perfect. That was an awesome job; some people just don't get it when it comes to covering something in your living room on a $400 or $500 guitar with a $200 amp.
Very nice. My only suggestion would be efficiency. Vito is a super clean player. The tapping sequence that starts at about 0:09 should be played with 3 fingers on the left hand in a steady position instead of moving the first finger all over the place. You got a good sound though.
View this video JHMFoH18l6Q starting at 3:03 and you'll see, it's not me playing but you'll see what I mean. Any good instructor will tell you the same thing. If you were a fan of Vito you'd know that he was a huge believer in economy of motion, *extremely* clean playing, and efficiency. He also disliked the tremelo bar.
i happen to have seen him record it with the first finger moving up and down to get a sliding sound,(this recording is included in a vhs magazine hard n´heavy volume 2 that was around in the late 80s) any fan of vito would agree with me that he is a tremolo bar man, watch the concert anthology dvd dude!
