When I was young... and a fool... this part was boring to me. I wanted to skip past it back to the action. I had no idea that I actually watched it more than a few times, and that it ingrained in me a sense of what "love" was supposed to be.
Now that I'm older... and a fool... I pine for those younger days of childhood, so that I might meet that childhood friend for whom I might remeet long after grown- and make the dream, this dream, come true.
Fairy Tales? You mean you don't believe love exists then?
You don't need to be young to believe in such things as I mentioned. But you seem to have lost your faith (not religious). Thusly I guess you can't find it I guess. (love that is, true love) How can you find something if you've given up looking or believing in it?
@QuasiEvilScott You're never too old for love to find you my dear. Never *kisses cheek* If you're open to it, and let it, it will come, even if you do not seek it out directly. *hugs*
Be yourself, pray, hope, keep your heart innocent (even if other parts aren't ^^ lol), be a good person from your heart w/o expecting anything in return, you never know, the one your suppose to be might not show up for some time, or it could be next week. But keep the faith *hugs* I hope and wish you well.
You're very welcome :) I know how it is to wait. But it won't happen w/o faith or hope. And only if you're good will you deserve it. So yeah... keep your light blazing ^^=
*hugs* And try to keep your heart clear too. Don't let bad thoughts or whatever get to you. :)
I'm always here if you need someone to talk to. I like to listen. ^^
I will never forget this song and movie, from my childhood days! It seems that the song is a mother talking about a child, however. Not really a lovers' song, in my opinion.
I watched Fantastic Mr. Fox on Monday and this song played in one scene. At the time, I /knew/ the song but I didn't know the name, and it drove me nuts until now, because I just figured out that it was this song. X33
I love Robin Hood. It's one of my favourite classics.
i want to know also, i think when its at "life is brief, but when its gone love goes on and on" , if you're playing in c or g i think that part is, F, FM, C, D7, DM, G, C, but thats the best i can do

"Only beings with a limited life span can think that something like love is eternal. You should embrace that remarkable illusion. It is one of the greatest gifts your kind has ever received."
As a brown-eyed girl, Maid Marian was one of the characters that made me proud of my eye color. Blue eyes get so much praise (no offense to you blue eyed folk out there). But when she bats those eyes, and he stares deeply into them, it made me think: MAN! Brown eyes are pretty great after all :P

I agree, so many "princesses" have every color except brown. Which, oddly enough, brown eyes are more rare. However brown hair is very common, but not at all less beautiful.
Oh and according to science, brown eyed people see better at night (eyes adjust better in the dark) especially when they have organic chocolate, which dark chocolate (organic) also improves mood and helps with if you have depression.
I love this movie. I always, always loved how her voice was softer and sultry and somehow more mature than all the other disney princesses. not to mention that if this robin hood were human and real and my age I'd totally be in love with him :P
i love this song i always loved this movie one of the cutest parts is when that little boy bunny was like "that mean old sheriff took my birthday present" it was cute how he said it
I guess I have to cop to being a furry. Funny, but I have no desire to adopt a fursona, dress up in silly costumes or draw Marian naked (tastelessly, anyway).
But I have to admit, these pretty little foxes hit an emotional chord harder than live actors ever could. There's a purity about them -- distilled sweetness -- and from a purely aesthetic perspective their faces are more beautiful than flat human faces.

This song has an amazing bass part...it's totally buried underneath the mix but if you listen carefully you can hear it. It's very bouncing and moves the song forward, but is subtly off-beat at the same time. Really good song. Does anyone know the chords?
Is it sad that I have this in my faves? Or that when I was little, I had a crush on Robin Hood...? His voice sounded like he had dashing good looks lol.
When I was young... and a fool... this part was boring to me. I wanted to skip past it back to the action. I had no idea that I actually watched it more than a few times, and that it ingrained in me a sense of what "love" was supposed to be.

Ha, lament and nostalgia serve no purpose other than self-pity, ignore it. Ignore it always.

This song has an amazing bass part...it's totally buried underneath the mix but if you listen carefully you can hear it. It's very bouncing and moves the song forward, but is subtly off-beat at the same time. Really good song. Does anyone know the chords?

Ironic just as Maid Marian says "I wish it would never end" the video ends. Was that coincidental or did you plan it like that?

Great song AND a great animated movie. I'm sure Walt would've liked it.

Is it sad that I have this in my faves? Or that when I was little, I had a crush on Robin Hood...? His voice sounded like he had dashing good looks lol.
