This documentary is a great bit of film here.

I was expecting another glorified commercial posing as a documentary for a comic book cash cow. Imagine my surprise that they cover all aspects of the character. Fascinating. More than any stand alone Superman comic I've read.

Trina Robbins is a talented artist, but she's a bit of a hypocrite. Superhero comics are childish, but drawing yourself into them and imagining they're reality isn't? She even gave an example of her paper dress version that had a Wonder Woman, not to mention other fantasy based costumes. I think she's just closeted on herself. Just because you dream as a child doesn't make it childish. That's all I'm saying.

And David Prowse might have missed out on being Superman, but he was Darth Vader.

That was the orginal idea for supe 2 but they decided to use in supe 1 and then richard lester did the magic kiss. When Supe 2 the director's cut came out they kept the orginal idea because they felt Clark Kent should never kiss Lois only Superman.
