Im 10. And I have played Frogger. And Sonic 2 a little. I have a gameboy color. I have pokemon crystal. So not all kids hate retro games. Its just the majority rely on graphics, while I however don't.
i miss a megaman game where you're in a ship and in the beginning i forgot the little moneky's name and he starts a fire in the living room of the ship and the kitchen and you gotta help a man get a crystal from a giant robot from a mine in the snow fields to get to the forbidden island. i miss that game so much and i just want it again so bad and i look in gamestop and any other store that might have it. even today i still want it. too bad i haen't beat the game :(

@Ulrichthehedgehog I am twelve years old, and I grew up with a Nintendo Entertainment System as my only console. I do not feel at all uninformed about anything, nor do I seem to not do any research. Heck, I even do basic SEGA Genesis homebrew games which I run on emulators (since I don't have a working Genesis at home). It's not about the KIDS that hate retro games. It's about those fascinated more with graphics - in fact, I know many adults which hate retro games due to their graphics.
I hate people reviewing games in general. Even when it's their own opinion, none can be true or helpful. Telling someone controls can be good or bad never made sense to me because I was able to get good at "bad" controls before (E.G. Resident Evil).
My point is games were made for entertainment, but not everyone's entertainment is the same. So how can I review how someone entertains one's self?
Either way I wish people would just PLAY games and leave the breaking down to Game Designers like me.

Overall, game reviewing can be for almost anyone if done right.

I do think the younger kids (like 8-12) tend to be uninformed about this stuff. They don't do any research, etc.
Yeah, I'VE never TRULLY experienced these consoles growing up, but I still do legit research on the games. I agree that the kids your reffering to are unbelieve ably biased!
@Ulrichthehedgehog . I am about your age and I play a lot of retro games that have stood the test of time. Im not talking about just the origonal mario or zelda, But fasinating cult classics such as Earthbound or Chrono trigger or Secret of Mana. If you check my hardrive (My old one because I recently got a new one) you will notice that I have tons and tons of roms. Im tired of little kids and people at my school bashing these games beacause they arent new technology.

i didnt grow up with retro games im growing up with modern games now but i dont think retro games suck just because there old,i mean these games look really fun.
I didn't really grow up with the NES, I actually had a Sega Genesis as a kid, and you know, if I cought a kid reviewing Sonic The Hedgehog and saying that it sucked, I don't know what I'll do! and for those kids that complained about the passwords, I would tell them "hey kid, there are 2 new inventions called, pencil and paper, they might help you remember the passwords" good rant dude! ;)
