Why does the patch select buttons look very similar to the Roland buttons on their TR-808 drum machine and Jupiter 8? .... Who was there first? .... doh!
@neolojism it doens't have osc-sync, just 2 osc's, 1 detuneable, but it does have a cv in for the filter cut offs so fm is possible, but only with external controllers.
freezazoid, the difference in the sound is so great it's almost like comparing a Juno 60 with a Jupiter 6. The second VCO makes a huge difference - there's also other changes to the architecture. The Jupiters are obviously more fully programmable and flexible as synths, but this isn't far off their weight of sound. It's a players machine more than a synthesists' machine, but has a big big sound.
so damn amazing... you just showed some sick tunes man... I just love this synth, I would buy one soon I hope! 1:35 its crazyyyyy.. PEACEE!!! myspace com jowdjo
Nice demo of this warm underrated analogue beast. ...but why o why didn't you play sustained chords with sounds at 0:53 & 0:56. Remember we want to hear the sounds, not the playing technique.
Praticamente gli hai dato il contentino, provando per l'ultima volta tutti i vari suoni facendo finta di nulla e poi l'hai venduto!! Ahahaha. Comunque bella performance...

God this thing sounds good, can only be a matter of time before the Trident reaches classic status like the Jupiter 8.

Great Demo. Classic synth. i'm pretty sure, The Who, and the stranglers used them in the 80's. Thanks for posting. LOL .

The horns sound like they came off a CS-80, not surprising since Korg and Yamaha have a fair bit of tech trading over the years.
