i got my yamaha FG700 today as a christmas present and i can tell you that its an amazing guitar, even for its relatively cheap price! i had time to compare it with other steel strings at the shop and it felt the most comfortable in terms of sound resonance, brightness of the tone, the action, and looks, within the under 1000$ range. if you are getting this as your very first guitar you are super lucky!!
It's not necessary, but I think it's helpful to learn in that order. Acoustic guitar will help you to strengthen your fingers and build technique. Then, switching to electric (should you choose to do so) will be a breeze. Anyone else have thoughts on this? Feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

I would definitely recommend the FG700S over the F310. The main reason is the solid spruce wood used in the FG700S top. The solid-top FG700S features a richer, fuller sound than the laminate-top F310. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
you can get an epiphone aj220 it has a solid spruce top and a dove-tail neck joint, slimtaper neck for easy playing and its only $190.00 at long/mcquade best guitar under $500.00
I have a 700s (Sandburst, which looks AWESOME!!) and a black 720s with cream binding......Both of 'em are really good sounding...the older the 700 gets, the better it sounds.... no buzz at all. Went to Elixir strings, and they're both sounding primo. Buy one.
Yes, i like the FG700s more, but what if i live in hot weather? will it damage the solid body or change anything? in this case would you recommend a solid top or laminated top ? Thanks.
I'd still recommend a solid top instrument but you'd want to make sure the instrument stays out of direct sunlight, and doesn't stay in a hot car for extended periods of time. Hey awesome guitar review I own one of these myself. Would you mind telling me what you played at the end there? The one mostly consisting of c and d? That really sounded cool. Keep up the good work!
I would definitely go with the Yamaha FG700S. The F325 features a laminated top which results in a thinner, boxier tone. The FG700S features a solid sitka spruce top, which provides a fuller, richer sound. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
The official model number from Yamaha is FG700S. The "S" stands for solid spruce top. Sometimes people will refer to it as simply an "FG700" but it's the same guitar. Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
great video, I'm really thinking of buying this guitar. I read many reviews and none of them says about cons of this guitar - do you think it has some, or is it flawless?
What are the differences between FG700S and FG700MS, does it sound differently?
And last question - what other quitars do you recommend with comparable price and quality?
Thanks for your interest. I personally own an FG700S and I think it's an excellent solid-top acoustic. I have no other recommendations at this price range that sound and play as good. I'm not aware of any disadvantages to this guitar...It's easy to play, sounds great, and sells for $199. SOLD! Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.
Thanks for your interest in Kraft Music and the Yamaha FG700S. Actually the mic I used for this session was an AKG Perception 400. This is a decent entry-level condenser mic that sold for around $300 (when it was a current model). Please feel free to contact me with any other questions or concerns.

Hello, I'm debating between the Fender cd-60 ce (which you have a video for) and this 700S. I really like how the fender has the pick up and it comes with a case, where the 700 doesn't. Which would you recommend? (with consider to sound, etc..) It's tough to pick because they are both good deals for me
I guess it depends on what you want. For a nice acoustic sound, I would definitely go with the solid-top Yamaha FG700S. If you need an acoustic-electric instrument, then the CD60CE might be the way to go. You'll just have to decide if you need the pickups or not. You may want to check out Yamaha FGX-series as well. Thanks for watching.

Thanks for your interest in Kraft Music and the Yamaha FG700S/FG730S. The main difference between these two instruments is the wood used in the back and side construction.
