Randy Crawford is the ultimate vocalist in my opinion. She is unmatched when it comes to pure quality of tonality and vocal control. Her voice always takes me away to that special place. I saw Randy Crawford in NYC at the Beacon Theater in the 1990's. She walked onto the stage, put her pocketbook next to the microphone, belted out one of the best live performances I've ever seen, said thank you, then picked up her pocketbook and left the stage. She's ALL about the voice. Amazing stuff!
