definately what im seeing is what i always thought..when your on a label you have to give them a reason to pay you some attention and invest money on you and if your the artist of a major artist you gotta REALLY draw attention to yourself thru your music so that they will spend money on you etc etc.
I'm wit all the artists that was on that label! Cause the Inc. had a lot of talented artists THAT WAS SUPPOSED to be dominating the music game for this passed decade (2000-2010). Also, it was like the same thing with others back in the early 2000s (Dipset, Clipse w/Neptunes, Nappy Roots, Lil Flip, Lloyd Banks, Young Buck, Terror Squad, etc.) All of those people WAS SUPPOSE TO BE popular. Go back to the early 2000s and look @ who had the music game on LOCK. As the mid 2000s came about....

@BreatherOfAir180 I know your comment is old but HAHAHAHHAAH I was thinking the same thing. This dudes voice! I'm so disappointed. I thought this cat was hard body for real but I guess he's just another actor like his bosses back then. Now Black Child had to be real. 50 was scared of him. Crazy, cat was making vids popping bottles now he back on the block. Full circle.
i could remember waiting for this nigga album to drop like back in '02. its a shame that 50 crush this niiga whole shit.. i dont think none of the murder inc cats can recover...
@Putnegre I hope these cats learn a lesson he said he thought him and Irv was homies but Irv carried it like it was business,my point is these cats come from the block anybody been on the block understand that being loyal and a stand up ni66a for you dude is big. What happens is they bringin street principles to a dirty filthy cut throat industry, where back stabbing deceit side deals theft dishonor and f**k the next man is the norm and your only loyalty is to your pocket,so them dudes get used.
damn these dudes were nice. caddy black vita chuck i grew up to murder inc shit. i heard pov city anthem in clubs 3 times this year. they should have an interview with irv and letr know whats happenin. and irv should have the right answers.
what i seen with the inc...while they were hot with ja rule 1st 2 cds, that right there could of put both murdah and black on like how 50 did with the unit! but instead of putting "murder inc" niggas out like them, they put out "tha inc" like ashanti & lloyd and Ja Rule Singin in shit...from that point on i never fucked with them niggas again...and the streets felt that why to, so ex-ja fans ran to 50 to let ja rule know, 50 didnt fuck you up...You Fucked yourself and u let Irv do it 2 You!
ye but i guess ja had no choice cus once u sign a contract its fucked up. that fat nigga faggot irv couldve been real, ja was thinkin family and irv was thinkin money n thats wat made murder inc fall also g-unot records is the same deal. its all fucked up damn even shady records kinda goin downhill. MUSIC is dyin fast we need some shit to boost sales and susan boyle is tight but we need some real rap shit and we gotta buy n support our artists albums
Agreed. As much as I liked the Inc, Irv Gotti's ineptitude screwed his own label by focusing too much on Ja Rule and Ashanti and overlooking everyone else on the label. If he had pushed Tah, Black, Vita, Charlie, etc like he pushed them, they would have lasted longer and 50 wouldn't have gotten to them like that.
Ironically, Ja, Ashanti and Lloyd, the only artists of significance to him, left last year to do their own thing.
Thanks, bro! Irv Gotti is a good producer and all but he is a shitty CEO when you look at it-I respect him for launching Jay Z, DMX and Ja Rule's careers but not for how he did Murder Inc. Irv's Suge Knight antics fucked over his own record label-just like 50 Cent's George Bush antics helped to destroy his own label afterwards. It goes to show you that selfishness and greed will do to people when they are on top until they hit rock bottom.
ya man i was there growing up when murder inc was boss.. all these people who are dissing on them were jumping up and down with there drinks in the air screaming its murderrrr back in the 90's.. and now? hatin on them? .. hahaha if that isnt the definition of a tool.. i dont know what is.. irv gotti just smashed there carriers.. just think were tah would be if he focused on them.. black child was realy good shit
@deadlylyrx, so agreed. Irv Gotti's Suge Knight tactics and 50's George Bush antics were the main reason why Murder Inc and G-Unit went under. What's even funnier is that Irv is working with Suge to promote a union for rappers to stop them from being exploited-Now how the fuck are these two going to talk against exploitation when they exploited their own labels? Irv's ass needs to stick to producing and just shut the fuck up and Suge needs to go back to jail as we know he'll be arrested again.
@kherubhm because he screwed them over too, Ja still with the Inc but Ashanti and Lloyd left the label, I know you posted this comment a while ago but your comment made a good point to me
@badabingcorporatemob very very true.......they had a nice window of time with the wild success of ja rule early on to push they're roster of artists, mainly street artists like caddy (murda) tah, black child.....cant say the singy songy thing didnt work 4 them
@badabingcorporatemob ....people 4get b4 fif came on the scene, murda inc had the game on lock.....ja rule, ashanti, etc, etc....but i would question gotti's outlook on longevity when everytime out, every new release, they're sound strayed farther and farther from the streets....and fuck everything else, this shit starts and ends in the streets....and so as MURDER INC, branding yourself as the hardest label out, what felt happened was a branding clash
@badabingcorporatemob I think Irv putting Ashanti out was a good idea because she basically sold the most records out of the artists, Lloyd was a teen when he came out to the inc and I don't think Irv really knew how to market him, and the same with Ashanti, I think irv had those 3 artists who were achieving success so fast and so tremendously that he didn't really know how to handle Ja, Ashanti or Lloyd, along with the other artists and it go 2 much for him, causin the fall
the only dude I feeled from Murder INC records Black Child is a bitch ass ugly ass nigga and a fuckin bum haha ffs Ja Rule is a damn cookie monster, Ashanti is aight but a bitch Jeniffer Lopez is sexy ass hoe slut aFLMAOa ;) yo Caddy whuts up? ;) keap gettin that paper fuck all da haterz 50 cent is also alright just stop beefin ;) i feel ya dawg? Pov City Anthen was not so good but alright hope you get with more hits for your fans peace mayne ;O)
Bull shyt Caddy didnt shine cuz hes a weak rapper but a good entertainer and back in 2001 ppl was lookin for good rappers thats why they flock to the other side, No Diss Man, But really, the POV City that beat was fye, but yo lyrics as a NY rapper was a disgrace to your craft
irv tried doin the same shit with loyd. he didnt want loyd to release the song "you" he told loyd there wasnt enough steam to release it but loyd released it anyway and he went platinum. Caddy Tah should of just said fuck you irv and recorded his album anyway and released it after pov city anthem dropped. that single did well enough that he could have went platinum imo. Irv gotti is a procrastinator and doesnt really understand the science of marketing and promoting artists .
i remember pov city anthem homie.....it was a good thing you didn't drop because you was setting yourself up for a failure.....but i did always wonder why vita, chuck, and tah never dropped.....
