My american made "POS" Jeep Wrangler's air bag triggering system is set to industry standards. Imagine when pulling out another 4x4 tugging with a chain off the back hitch and having the airbags go off. Or any other similar scenario. Nope. Air bags just dont randomly or casually trigger.

The problem was so bad when airbags first started becoming commonplace that there was somewhat of an "uproar" because of the bags going off for next to no reason. As a tech, i've seen (up to) several cars in one month's time, come in to have their bags replaced.
