I don't think he'll peak too early. Derek Trucks was playing live at this age. He just keeps getting better with age. Been with the Allman Brothers full time over 10 years plus solo work.
@allankay12 Maybe I'm wrong but to assume he will peak to early with only seeing his video's and not knowing him as a person or knowing his parents and the people around him. Without even knowing him. That's a big statement to make without really having any real information to make that statement. It's basically a guess. Which then made me think you may be jealous of him.
wow, so good it almost makes me wanna quit, you can tell he's not just fumbling around the pentatonics like some other young guitar phenoms ---> this kid actually feels what he's playin...wait til a girl or two mess his head up a little and he gets seriously blue!
Man all you judging the boy to early look at the influences that he has around him...With a practice and all the influences teaching him...watch you'll see that becomes of him
Well since Mozart has been dead for over 300 years, I don't think it would be a good reason to dis Tman here, playing with the likes of Albert Cummings, Buddy Guy, and Walter Trout on stage.
As far as Tman not being bad for an 8 year old, since you couldn't touch this young man's blues I would say that's even pretty good for alot of 30-40 something year olds as well.
Kudos to your child for being able to play classical music, but not to your child's parent.
Sorry for the shakiness of the video, Tallan's father Carl handed me his video camera to record this while he took pictures. This is pretty amazing but remember, it is almost from a year ago and you should see how much Tallan has progressed in that one year. I've seen him play this past summer with Walter Trout and he just blew everyone away. On top of all that, Tallan is a very polite and wonderful little boy. We're lucky to have a his wonderful future to look forward to!.......Roy
He's got a lot of drive, very unusual for a kid that age. Imagine if his parents said "NO, you're not getting a guitar." It's good that his family respects his motivation and supports his talent.

I'd bet any money the kid is an Autistic Savant.
ExportDrummer89 3 years ago
i wouldnt say autistic, perhaps savant. He may just view the guitar differently than most witch allows his to play the way he does

Haha - That guy is good. It looks surreal to see an 8-year old twitch while playing some good notes.
Not so good singing voice, but I'll bet ya his guitar skills will make up for that in 10 years or so!
