It appears that Greenpeace, as an organization, has spread itself out too thin. To dominate a battle, you go into the battle with a superior force. Maybe Greenpeace needs to focus on saving a few key species instead of fighting so many battles on so many fronts. Allocate more resources to a few key battles, then move on to new conquest. Just a thought.
This world needs a voice, needs an action and needs someone like you. You can help us with this "battle" for your children, and for your children's children.
I'm actually one quarter from graduating from one of the best colleges in the US with a degree in Environmental and Resource Sciences, so I plan on doing my part to win a few battles. Actually, most of them aren't endangered. The Japanese are killing 900 Minke whales. There are about 1 million of these whales in the world and they are not endangered. 50 fin whales are also being killed. Fin whales are endangered but their population can sustain itself even with the japanese whaling.

They had this video playing in New Zealand on prime time tv while Greenpeace sat on their butts and did nothing. Last whaling season Paul Watson (I don't like him, just his cause) actually pleaded for Greenpeaces help. Just to go to Antarctica and block the Japanese factory ship, he said they wouldn't have to do anything violent or aggressive or even listen to him. Just stop the whale processing. They never showed up.

It appears that Greenpeace, as an organization, has spread itself out too thin. To dominate a battle, you go into the battle with a superior force. Maybe Greenpeace needs to focus on saving a few key species instead of fighting so many battles on so many fronts. Allocate more resources to a few key battles, then move on to new conquest. Whales are being slaughtered, just as Chickens, Cattle, Sheep, Fish, flies, etc.
It´s ofcourse okay, that old demented king Anthony is trying to get some extra exposure by participating in that kind of commercials.
But the thing is that it´s a big lie. and twists reality.
it isn´t like people are killing animals just for pleasure.

just because we slaughter them, does not mean we should. and, it wouldn't be so bad that we DO kill all the animals on the planet, but the big problem is that they are killed in cruel and careless ways. people don't even care that the last few years of some of these animals are spent in misery and pain. besides, i think i can live my entire life without ever using a whale product, so at least we can cut back a little, right?

Actually, most of them aren't endangered. The Japanese are killing 900 Minke whales. There are about 1 million of these whales in the world and they are not endangered. 50 fin whales are also being killed. Fin whales are endangered but their population can sustain itself even with the japanese whaling.

Many people have hunted whales over the centuries- here in New Bedford, Massachusetts, huge fortunes were built on its profits. We are proud of our heritage, as others should be, but feel that ALL whaling should be consigned to history. These majestic creatures are not the property of any nation or people.

Whales are a food source. Why is it people are up in arms about it? Foreigners making haste to Japanese shores to protest. I don't see the Indian people coming to The Americas or other countries decrying the killing and use for food of cattle. What's the problem? If I decide to eat a giraffe or a lion & feed it to my village are people going to fly off the handle? At least I am not bashing in seal heads just to wear a fur coat. I simply do not understand western thinking sometimes.

Whale meat is very very minor edible meat in Japan.
Actually I have never eaten and seen them in my life in Japan.
I heard they do not face a crisis of the extinction.
Whales who is clever mammals are at the top of a food chain.
If we do not capture the whale at all , the number of whales will increase , and the number of other fish will decrease.

Actually Greenpeace emphasizes that JAPAN IS KILLING WHALES.
On YouTube , there are much more video concerning about killing whales by Japan than any other country.
After watching them , those who are unfamiliar with whaling may have the impression not only that whales are pitiful mammals but also that Japanese people are cruel.

With all due respect to the Japanese, this is not in reference to their culture or their people. It just so happens that the Nishin Maru (most prominent whaling boat) is Japanese. But it is not only Japan that is involved in whaling. Regardless of which country we should not stand down & let it pass. It is wrong to let consumerism damage the environment. Period. And we should all bear witness to injustices like these.
