  • Please can you tell me how to set up the digital drawbars to get the same sound?many thanks!

  • I love this video. the sound, I put this song as an alarm clock, I feel good waking up with this melody. Thanks again for upload pal.

  • Sniifff T^T Perfect!

  • Right on. You nailed it. A few nice embellishments, too. Perfect fast-slow Leslie timing. I think the Nord sounds great. I have a Native Instruments B4, which is pretty fun as well. 12 different Leslies to choose from, etc. Still, I'd like to have the double keyboard and waterfall keys.

  • not good sound, copy of Hammond

  • A nice rendition of a great number.. Thank you for letting us hear it.

  • I like this sound of hammond organ, too.

I have this one in japan, too.

    please show me!.

  • Beautiful version and an awesome performance.Great instrument!

  • This NO SUCH THING as structural ducktape, but you somehow prove there is.

  • You have a beautiful talent, man.

    Peace

  • Very nice dude! the Nord does do a very impressive B3 sound.

  • Extremely awesome.

  • Love, love, love it

  • vary vary good to song senza luce from ammond is butifull ok' bye lupotoscano1 italy

  • SOUNDS REAL GOOD.NICE JOB WELL DONE

  • Nice job, I'd like to hear a longer version if possible?

  • I usually listen to YouTube through headphones late at night (so as not to wake the wife), and the sound of your video is truly awesome !!!! Great Leslie doppler effect, and a sweet tone from the Nord. Although I have owned my Hammond C3 for over 30 years, this sounds wonderful and sure is smaller !!! Kudos---nice interpretation of a great song !!! Peace :-)

  • I don't know what's better, sound or performance. Thanks for sharing with us.

  • hi there im loving this thing and your playing - is the sound im hearing processed at all from the devices above?

    thanks

  • Excellent!

  • Good !

I should know play keyboard as the same you.

    Congratulations man !

  • Love it! Carried me away. 5 stars

  • This is still giving me heebie-jeebies, and still after years after refraining from organ playing, favoring drums instead.

Keep up this wonderful instrument !

  • So nice....you're on my facebook now.....!.........love it....just have to go back to my RT3 and learn....hope to play as well you do....

  • J'ai deja mis un commentaire il y a 1 an, mais j'y reviens.

De loin la meilleure version du net ! le son est beau, c'est bien joué.

    Bravo !!!

  • Outstanding

  • Magnifique .... merci. !

  • j adore cette chanson bravo

  • wow.. I don't know why ..but I just wanted to cry cause this sounded so good! very nice my Friend!

  • tres jolie musique merci a vous5********

  • Ouuh man, the way you're playing makes me to get some "gooseskin". Great stuff. Exactly the way it should be: With a little overdrive and the leslie being turned on / off at the right spots. Wow, congratulation...

  • You are too late with some of the extra notes you put in. Is kinda annoying. Takes the pass out of the song.

You make the jazzy thing sound way to white.. Unrythmical rape of a classic!

Try to get drunk and play again..

    ps Try crack instead..

  • Magnifique Formidable:)

  • Wonderful, fantastic, awesome !

  • @mikefox1974 Thanks very much for your comments

  • This is one of the few videos I've actually yearned to come back to and hear again!

I've come back multiple times. Love the tones and feel you've got there. Great stuff.

  • @muzboz Thanks very much.Glad you enjoyed it

  • Hey kw231263 great work! That Nord sounds great. People complain that it isn't the same, but then agan how many bands play the exact same thing as on the record but for me the Nord is the next best thing. I'd rather sound 99% closer to a B3 and Leslie and keep my back. because I performed way back in the 70's with an B3, a Leslie, A Rhodes 88, Arp Omni, Minimoog and Clavinet. The classic keyboard setup of the 70's and the roadies hated me. Now this Nord does most everything all the above did.

  • @alcatras4, I completely agree with you. It sounds like you were doing the same kind of thing as me around the same era. Ever noticed that the guys who are in love with all the retro gear never had to live with it with no alternative for back-up? Keeping Moogs in tune=nightmare, lifting b3's, rhodes tines snapping, Leslie rotor belts, pulleys, motors, outboard reverb springs, crappy tape-delay units etc.... and young guys want it all back when we were dreaming of what they've got now! Weird.

  • @alcatras4 Ye the nord is a great organ and only 33 Lbs.Thanks

  • @alcatras4 Amen brother, Amen. I used Rhodes pianos, Hohner D6 and a coupld of different synths. I have the bad back to prove it. The Nord equipment is fantastic.

  • @alcatras4 Amen Brother. B3 + Rhodes = putting my Chiropractor's kids through college.

  • Good! thanks for uploado it. excellent sound. Excellent.

  • @therionmagan Thanks

  • the C1 is nice as clones go, but nothing matches the 500 pound monster that is the B3

  • @ajdicks I love the c1 but i have never played a b3

  • This should be released on a CD , I just love this performance.

  • @zeebuge Thank you

  • great! better than the original

  • @tigertechfifty Thanks

  • I like the way it sounds...not the original...but very nice cover......thanks...

  • @935TURBO Thanks

  • are you using a leslie or is that the leslie simulator on the unit

  • @skipdimple Leslie sim

  • I play in a Pink Floyd tribute, and recently acquired this thing. Not only is it ideal for Hammond organ sounds that sound and feel accurate, but the Farfisa sound is essential for early stuff. Perfect instrument for any Hammond enthusiast (and basically required gear for any Floyd tribute.)

  • Thank you.

  • Very nice! Great device!!

  • Thanks

  • nice sound

  • doooooooooo do dee dooooooooooooooooooooooo da dee doo duh dooo dee do da deee da ta ta de da da da

  • I still like the Lesilie emulation on the Roland VK8 over the Nord, but you can't beat having a 33 pound B3 with two manuals!

  • they are both great clones

  • I have a set of Tannoy Speakers on my pc and the sound quality of this is absolutely stunning .

  • Good to hear,the c1 is a great clone

  • @kw231263 Zeebuge's right; I'm listening to this through a pair of Etymotic IEMs, and it's fantastic! Great playing, and a great instrument!

  • Thanks

  • @dhaines Thanks.Clavia did a great job on the NordC1

  • This organ has a good sound!

  • yeah,very good for a clone

  • Beautiful sound, warm, sweet and so close to the real B3.Great playing too.

  • Thanks

  • Great playing.Very nice sound.

  • Thanks

  • Your good M8 sounds very true to the original. Not quite the sound of the Vox C. but I don't mind this at all! Cheers!

  • Thank you very much

  • Very nice job and lovely sound!

  • Thank you very much

  • Can a Nord C1 Emulate a Vox Continental?

  • If you look on my channel,i have uploaded a doors sound on the c1.

    best regards kim.

  • white drawbars

  • Sweet thanks.

  • Yes, it can. And it's doing it quite good too. :D

  • What is the effects box on the rack about the C1?

    Rob

  • Its an art mike tube preamp.

  • ur transition is to fast from the slide

  • Ok thanks

  • ps I think your technique is brilliant on this song which makes it sound as good as it does.

  • Thank you for your kind comments.

  • I do own many B3's and I must say this is an Awsome sound. In many ways it is better than a B3/Leslie for as you have much better control. I also just bought one of these as I like it so much.

Every B3 sound different though, some are goo/soame ar not so good. A B3 would need to have reverb fitted to get this sort of sound unless you put it through a desk and add effects.

  • Great job!

You'll hate for saying this, but there really is no substitute for a Leslie...

  • Thanks.

I would love a real leslie

  • Sound comes from E-MU B3, isn't it...? ;-)

  • It comes from the Nord C1.

  • How would you compare this to a real hammond in sound and feel?

  • I have never played a B3 but i have played old hammonds and i love the Nord c1.

This is only a simulated leslie.I think through a real leslie it would sound perfect

  • there is a video somewhere on here when he compares them both directly next to each other and he thinks there is almost no difference apart from it being smaller :)

  • Jeremiah is a good guy. He's helped me though some Hammond organ problems.

    Just wanted another player's opinion.

  • fair enough :)

  • This was a nice touch, creative and very enjoyeable to listen to.

Keep Going we want to hear more!

    Lots of Luck

  • Thanks,

I will try to upload something in the future but i am very busy at the moment.

    Best regards Kim.

  • Thanks for the response.

  • You music sounds great. I own a Nord C1 could you tell me does your keys seem to be noisy and lite. Mine are and it's new.

    Just wondering !

  • Thanks,

I like the keyboards on the C1.

The action is alot faster to play on than any synth i have played.

I have not noticed anything wrong with them

  • Could you tell me what box is it on the keyboard and are you using any speakers or is it hocked up direct.

    Thanks,

    HammondDaddy

  • The box on top is an Art tps 11 tube preamp.

The sound goes in to a yamaha emx 68s mixer pa and is line out to the sound card in my computer.

    Best regards Kim.

  • Great job! What pedals are you using for your nord C1?....and are you using a standard keyboard bench to achieve the same height as the traditional organ benches? -Thanks

  • Thanks

The pedals are 18 years old and made by fatar and the bench is from a technics organ.

  • Thanks for your response....that really helps. Take care!

  • ottimo il suono!!!!

  • Thank you

  • sounds great man how do people play so good... Im a wanabe....

  • Thanks

  • I dont know,i have never played a B3

  • It dosent. Also, thats just a straight preset. Sounds the same as the old hammond module that was out in the nineties

  • What is the electronics box above the C1? IS it mixer or some sort of delay/reverb unit?

    Bob

  • Hi Bob,

The unit is an art tps2 duel channel tube preamp

  • Exelente ejecucion, el mismo sonido original, CONGRATULATION, Saludos de Argentina. Manuel.

  • Thanks

  • wow!

  • Thanks

  • Sounds's GREAT!I watched some C1 vs B3 videos and few peolple would find the difference between both.

NORD did make an incredible job!

Is it possible to post the specif drawbars settings for this song?Thank you

  • Thanks,

    Upper manual 688600000,

  • THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!

    That's THE SOUND : )

    I don't own a Nord C1...but it's amasing on N I B4

    Keep posting..I'll come watching

  • I'm thinking of trading my M-3 and leslie 20 in for one of these. Sounds amazing

  • I have never played a b3 or m3 because in Guernsey being a small island i have never seen one.

All i know is the sound i have allways heard on listening to recordings seems to be nailed by the Nord C1.

I have owned a few hammond clones over the years and none of them even come close to the nord.

I just love this organ, and thats without a leslie.

Hope this is of some help.

    Best regards Kim.

  • WOW

  • Thanks,

The Nord C1 is a great organ

    Greetings from Guernsey Channel Islands.

  • i'm a guitar player but i'm a musician!!!if i was to get an organ i would get a clavia nord c1 i cant believe that natural sound! one of the best songs ever, and coming from a punker:]

  • Nord make great gear and the C1 is a great combo organ.

  • Great job. One of the best songs ever.

  • Thanks

  • good job...

    please, Procol Harum...not Harem ;)

  • Thanks

  • Excellent job!

  • Thanks

  • YES the future has arrived.... same sounds will be on Nord Electro 3 ......

  • The Nord Electro 3 is going to be a fantastic instrument

  • check out ' hammondrebuilder ' in youtube..... he has two demo's where he A/b'S THE hammond and C1.. and its bang on....he even talks about the sim being the BEST EVER

  • I saw the video the other day.Its amazing. The Nord sounds exactly the same as the B3.

  • I saw PROCOL HAREM live in 1976.....

and 'DAMN' that C1 is bang-on isnt it.. whoo

  • I would have loved to have seen them live. The Nord does sound good.I would love to hear it through a real leslie cab but the sim does a great job.

  • a WHITER shade of pale actually

  • Yes i realised that mistake just after i uploaded the video so i cannot change it now.

    Best regards Kim.

  • Hi!

    What pedalboard used you?

    Best regards.

  • The pedalboard is a Fatar MP1 but it is about 18 years old.

  • srry, didn't mean to be so critical, the playing is great, i own a b3

  • Hi,Thanks for the comments.

    Best regards Kim.

  • a white a shade of pale?! lol change the intro

  • Well spotted.I cannot change it now,but i have amended it in more info.

  • EXCELLENT

  • Thanks

  • sweet!

  • Thank you

  • Im thinking about buying this organ

but what amplifier do i buy with it.

I cant afford a leslie speaker. So could I

    use a keyboard amp?

  • Hi.I use a Yamaha stereo pa mixer with 2 12 inch speakers.

  • cool cool cool

  • Thanks

  • very good

  • Great great sound, really enjoyed this, especially the glissando swell ;)

  • Thanks Ian.

  • Very nice, however, if the camera was mounted from above, I could see how you played this.

How about making another video of this same tune???

  • Hi,Thanks.

At a later date i will do an overhead view but at the moment i don't have anything set up to record with. Regards Kim

  • Nice job! Nice sound on the organ too. I am surprised with the "realism" of the keyboard. I am a die hard Hammond fan. It would be much easier to carry this one around on the road!!!

  • Thanks,

The nord c1 is a great combo organ and one day i would like to try mine through a real leslie. Best regards Kim

  • very nice , super

  • Thanks

  • good stuff
