These guys are so awesome. The skill level in the band is sickening - unless you're listening to them. Soooo good live. This is the first tune I heard of theirs, and it might be my favourite.
the greatest bass solo i have ever heard by the greatest bassist of all time noone comes anywerr near wooten hes an innovater and by far the greatest ever
@humanjukebox58 They pretty much all reinvented their instruments. Bela like you already mentioned; Victor doing things with the bass that haven't been done before; Future Man literally inventing his own instrument; and Howard Levy is a piano wiz that also does amazing things when handed a harmonica.
I'm glad that such virtuosic musicians are humble and cool. I found an old guitar mag and it had an interview with Robert Fripp. This guy refers to himself in the third person, won't do interviews with his band, won't hang out after the show to meet fans, and sounds kind of like a dick. I mean you expect some kind of ego with that guy, but damn, not a superego. He might have Axl Rose beat in the ego department.
@whitelightnin265 Oh yeah, this song is great to play. I have been working on it for years now and I'm at the Victor Wooten thumb pick+pluck technique part. Only problem is my current bass (Fender Precision) only has 20 frets and I need a better cutaway for the higher fretting parts. Good thing I'll be getting a Fodera Yin Yang Standard soon, will make some parts of this song much easier for me. Still probably my favourite song to play nonetheless.
@KincaidBass They're deaf, that's the only possible reason I can come up with. Their can't posibly be another reason as to why ANYONE would click this video only for them to dislike it. Unless if they're ignorant, in which case, they have no friends if they can't learn to be able to have some respect for other's interests, and not just their own. Either that, or maybe they're allowed to have a dislike for something and that should not have to interfere with our lives. But whatever, eh?
Can anyone tell me where i can get a copy of this song it was a music video probably put out by the record company of this song it use to be on youtube now its gone i cant find it.
@ClumsySandbocks You're in for a treat. I rate this band in the top 5 concerts I've been too!! If you hang around after the show you'll likely be able to meet the band and have your CD autographed.
Got to solo with Jeff Coffin at peaks festival last year, best weekend of a sax player's life

@drkfnx600 How long did it take you to pick it up proficiently? I currently am a bass/guitar player. But I would love to learn Sax.

@Denthedragon Maybe they were afflicted by a harmonica-playing serial killer in their youth.
