Maybe thats because the show was made in the 80s not 2010? The Japanese music is a billion times better because, that's the music the shows CREATORS chose, not a bunch of American executives (it would be like the Japanese dubbing the Simpsons) , and thats what the scenes tempo were made to follow. That's right, every scene in DBZ was choreographed to match with the Japanese music.

Let's all remember that this is based of a comic, the comic didn't have any music, therefore there are not really any "original" music to dbz,you can have different oppinions about how the music would be set, besides Akira is remastering dbz to dbkai to make it more true to the manga, and he is remixing the music too and even taking some bruce faulconer music,personally I like bruce faulconer
