Verizon iPad 2 Problems

Did they get this problem fixed? I've been driving myself nuts trying to figure out if I should get an AT+T or Verizon. I think verizon might have better coverage in my area but AT+T shows a decent connection. They should configure them so you could have the choice to choose right on the ipad. Any info would sure help. Thanks

Why buy and iPad 3G for an extra £100 when you can buy a mifi which also allows you to connect up five devices including iPad,iPod etc. Also it uses wifi so you can still do FaceTime using 3G you can not do FaceTime.

I may be wrong. But i believe the idea is to use wifi when avaible and then go to 3g when wifi is not around. That is how my iphone works anyway. Does yours work outside your wifi zone?

I have similar problem on my iPhone 4. I'm using O2 UK and from time to time whatever requires network connection will not work even though the 3G is showing on the status bar. Quick Reboot fixes it though.

Hi Jon,

Just wanted to share there is a problem present in iPhone 4 as well related to network search. The problem I personally have experienced in GSM version is when you are in no network zone for a while (may be around 15-20 minutes) when you come back to coverage zone the network is not automatically registered. Use of airplane mode also does not really help. And you will end up rebooting your phone to re-register. :-) Seems like apple has to improve on network registration.
