Turkey is in delicate situation where these EU countries and Americans, in one hand accept PKK as terror organisation, betraying the very same people, Kurds that they so pseudo-care. On the other side, make documentaries like these to downgrade the image of Turkey in peoples eyes, i am not saying we are the best country in the world but we are not heartless people, so can anyone say what happened to these people? As most of you know, Turkey is struggling with a organisation called PKK, whom says they are representing Kurdish people and their rights in a militant fashion. If we are having these problems with the brothers we lived together for more than 1000 years, it is due to these manipulating scumbags like EU and fake care they have for the Kurdish people, Just ask any Kurdish in Europe how they get treated there, do they accept them or see them as third class people.

Not only that, Kurdish people are our brothers, We hold the biggest majority of Kurds living in Turkey. Ask them if they are treated the same way they are treated in Iran or Syria. They have power to vote in Turkey and also represented by a party, they leader is not exucuted even though he caused so many deaths, this is democracy, please compare with Iran and Syria and how Kurdish people get treated there.

It is very upsetting such images, especially regarded to my country. I am interested in the very care the Spanish people show in this documentary. It is stated that between 200-300,000 Kurdish refugees were present ( i do not know where they have reached this statistics) in this mountain crossing over the mountains to escape Saddam and his brutality. If the Spanish care so much about this people, how much of these people did they accept as refugees so that Turkey can organise a safe transport.

i was 8 months old when my family left zaxo and escaped saddam murderous campaign. my mother told me stories of the exoduss but now i have seen with my eyes exactly the shit we lived through. on top of the fear of saddam the turkish army insisted on opening fire on kurds with no arms, what an army they have. by the time my family returned to zaxo the arabs had robbed businesses and invaded our homes and claimed it as their own. even after this kurds still remain, we will always remain.

Of course They escaped to Iran and Syria. They tried to escape to everywhere. Obviously, kurds near the turkish border wouldn't go to Iran and viceversa. The exodus to Iran was estimated to be around 1 milion kurds (the exodus to Turkey was about 500 thousand kurds).

So many thanks for telling your experience. The exodus through Turkey's border has been so documented, but through iranian border... there are so few images... (I think people who went with You where about 1 or 1,5 milion, more than refugees going to Turkey, about 500.000) We are so lucky for not to endure these situations nowadays, but sometimes it's recommended to remember those sad moments (although I hadn't experienced that exodus...).

Thanks Azad for the subtitle. A being away from Kurdistan for a long time, it seems I had forgotten about all the misfortunes we had to go through. Our family was lucky enough to end up on the Iranian border; it took us seven day and night walking from Suleimany to reach the border.
