I'm an American (albeit a Democrat one) but I'm finding this pretty hilarious. And to be honest, I'm petty surprised to see Republican James Oddo react so, well let's say, intensely. Republicans were throwing around pretty similar allegations during the 2008 election, i.e. Is Barack Obama really an American citizen? Can Hillary Clinton really be president given her husband's behavior etc.

The only reason for Americans not to think this is funny, is their lack of reflection and self irony. If this happened in Norway, with an average American (equalling Pia, who is acting stupid) interviewing for instance Siv Jensen (dark blue), the writer, for my part, and most likely 99% of the Norwegian population would think of it as a humourous skit. Cuz we have self insight, and we are not taking ourselves as seriously as Americans do. At least that is my conclusion out of these comments.

Also, you might be surprised to know that many fiscal conservatives (republicans) are actually against almost all military conflicts and would bring all troops home (from every country) if given the chance.
