I really don't think Paul is anywhere near as great as you claim that he is. He's against the government spending one dime on helping people get healthcare, and he's against the Civil Rights Act.
First - I never claimed Ron Paul was "great". I agree with him on some issues, & disagree on others. I like that (unlike almost all "conservatives"), he generally puts country/principles before party.
I wouldn't agree with either on Civil Rights Act or Healthcare. Rand, (perhaps because of his "youth" relative to pops) seems rather naive when it comes to the 60s. Reality trumps theory/ideology.
That said, both can at least see outside the Reagan/Limbaugh/Fox box.
Americans themselves have become dishonest with their place within America and also dishonest about what America stands for in the world today.
Thus with all the dishonesty today in America there is one fact that prevails above all else and that is Americans can not face the truth it is too ugly for their minds to cope with .
Its very simple. Our country would not be broke if we didn't keep going into pointless wars and allowing government to grow. Dr. Paul is exactly right - interesting how they meddle for so long on what to DO IN IRAQ vs. WHETHER WE SHOULD BE THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE (there is a common undertone in our financial system stating the same status quo). Keep up the good work Dr. Ron 'Patriot' Paul!
