This is my favourite song of the whole movie. It's really creey, I can't deny that, it makes my hair stand on end when I listen to it at night. But yet it has some kind of mysterious beauty in it..........and it sounds so........hypnotising.........
At 0:45 that is supposed to be the other father saying "Dreaming, Dreaming.", and at 2:00 the "nah nah nah nah nah" or whatever is supposed to be the Other Mother. (I can't believe i just realized this after listening to the song for the 5th time. xD)
no mechanical lullaby is different than dreaming. they sound the same if your not paying attention. but if you listen carefuly there is more humming in this one and the end is different.
My baby loves this movie. He's only 9 months old but whenever he hears this music he crawls in front of the tv and just watches. It's so cute. No matter what mood he's in I'll put this on and he'll settle down.
haha thats cute but its a little creepy (not ur baby i bet hes really cute!!) cause u gotta understand like this song is creepy but like really enchanting!
I wish something like this would happen to me, i think it would be so fun, even all the danger would seem exciting! But nothing ever happens in my life -_-
I love this movie! It makes me feel like I'm in some kind of magic world and I can do anything and go adventuring! I feel so little and cute and weird! its just an awesome rush!
This is the BEST song ever!!! It's my favourite song in the whole of the Coraline movie! There's something just so unreal about it and I feel like I'm being under the other mother's spell...
Does anyone know where the sheet music for this song can be found?
it's just nice gibberish...i tried to type phonetics: simply twisting listen try to mayte it gently sweetly witchen wisdoffen other family listen gen ooooooh ooooh dreaming, dream dreamer on and on and on and ohh dreaming dream dreamer onadonad oh dreaming, treasson demme fassil dreamer on by a day anor bletein treason treason troral endachesin treason by or and on oh treason treason treason on and on and on ohh (more gibbersish) dream
I just finished the book Coraline-I'm sure you can find it at any book store.
I can't really decide which one is better, they are both very good in their own ways.
the book is fast paced, while the movie is a bit slower. there are no dolls in the book, or Wybie, but the story is essentially the same. It was a good read! go get it!
yeah they added alot of stuff like wybie and his grandmother....what?? but the concept with the doll was cool i didnt mind that and yeah the cellar part creeped me out when i read the book
Oh it's fine. But what happens is Coraline gets tricked into searching in a cellar for the ghost souls because the other mother made her think they were in there. So Coraline goes to look but instead runs into her deformed other father who tries to warn her to leave but the other mother takes control and makes him attack Coraline. But they way the book describes the deformed father is just reaallyy creepy and disturbing.
It's described kind of similar to how he looks toward the end of the movie, that is if you've seen it. Except it describes him as a swollen deformed "thing" with a hairless head, twig like hands, and miserable looking, with a long frowning face, and wet looking, like a big grub. It said a bunch of other weird stuff about it, but I can't remember it all.
Can anyone else understand the words? Sometimes I catch parts of it (the word "dreaming," for example) but the rest is hard to understand. Is it in another language, or sung on nonsense syllables mostly?
what a unique sound, complements a unique movie. If you have not seen it yet be sure to see it in 3D. They charge a little more for the glasses and have the nerve to ask you to return them after the movie but hang on to them because more 3D movies are coming in the future

So can you buy Coraline at any book store?
Or what because I want to know which version is better......
(because some books you have 2 order online only...Just wandering)
kibalover852 3 years ago
Check the availability at the bookstore's website by entering your zip code.
I personally am reading the original book, and it's very enjoyable, though the movie and the book are very different, they are still both wonderful.

Well i got my copy from the school library, so they probably have it at barns and noble or something.

yeah, that was a pretty freaky part in the book. the creepiest part in the movie was probably when the ghost children were talking to Coraline.
