For my understanding, I think you let the completed compost soils dry out to where it is about like a moist sponge consistency first or completely dry? Then, run it thru the 1/8 inch screen? Also, it seems to me that to get 100% castings is unlikely in reality, so we just wind up with about what you achieved as typical harvest? Any wisdom is helpful.
I have noticed it's better to process everything in the foodblender into a mush before throwing it into the vericompost, at least if you're not that patient with un-done materials. I like my castings to be as neat and dark as possible.
