Yes vi studied the video too. I noticed theres someone standing inbetween the 2 trees on the right as the person is moving, then looking at the top the dare devils hair is blonde. After the guy leaves the slide he disapears wen he hit the water and the tub doesnt move as travelling that fast you would expect it to move. funny as hell tho.

Mythbusters test was somewhat inaccurate. The launch slope of the ramps were different and in the actual video, the guy jumped into the ramp and started off faster whereas in Mythbusters, Adam and Jamie lied down and accelerated slowly.

@macsdestroyspcs2 It was constant speed. Based on the camera angle, he appears to go faster because he is moving away from the camera. It is all based on perspective, That is why so many kids dart out into the road knowing there is a car coming. With a car coming it can seem like they are going slower than they really are.

@RaizoSuper somewhat late response but every is possible in the world of computers. never done this befor so i can't say exactly how they made it but i'm guessing they filmed him in a bluebox, filmed the watherslide and a shot clip of him falling/jumping/whatever in the pool and then casting them all together in adobe after effects. if you like this then you should check out:

okay we proved you could do this in honors physics, mythbusters didn't calculate their formula right. its actually really simple forms of speed and force applied with the implied trajectory. they obviously tested it with the test dummie

They made a simmilar slide replicating the conditions in the video, and found that the furthest they could go was 75ish feet. They did, however, say you can pick a precise spot you want to land and land there if you get the slide right. They called the people who made the video, and they said it was fake.

Yet the target Mythbusters went for was approximately 70ft, meaning they'd need their slide build to be at least twice the length or lower angle of the ramp's end to reach the distance mythbusters saw.

Having said that, of course it's fake. That pool would have to be like 4m deep to slow down his impact.... but it's well done!

@kenijoluver the camera angle makes it misleading, although it may look like he reaches extreme height, he doesnt really, theres also a drop off on the hill that he flies over, adding to this effect, and he doesnt land straight down, so the force would NOT make him go past the water and hit the wood, it would (because of his angles and direction) make him slam into the rubbery side
