While I don't know any of the actual facts of what occurred here, one thing is for certain nobody has ever committed a crime ever. Any time someone is alleged to have committed a crime, it is always because the government is lying and completely fabricating evidence. The government spends all their time following innocent people around in black helicopters solely to invade their privacy. On a related note, there is no such thing as terrorism. The government just makes up terrorist acts too.
At the end of the video it says nobody was arrested. If you think the police were willing to completely fabricate evidence to obtain a search warrant, why were they not similarly willing to make up facts for an arrest?
I totally agree. The police spend so much time tracking down innocent people to arrest. You wouldn't believe the man hours that are lost fabricating evidence. I wish I could have a fraction of the money they spend following you and me around in those black helicopters and listening to all our phone conversations. I think that is why Pres. you should be tazed for being an ignorant moron facist. The majority Cops are violent, washed up assholes or spineless rule abiding zombies. I think being falsely accused of things is a big deal. You should be sent to Guantanamo Bay and raped by your fellow war loving, patriotic imbeciles. Sorry about sounding too harsh.. but that's the only way people like you know how to communicate.
Yea thats what they want people to think but people that know their rights know it is completely legal as long as its in public. Most cops dont even know the laws they just try to impose their own will on unknowing citizens. Evil likes to be in the shadows =P
The problem is that these people want rights but haven't taken there constituional responsibility to exercise their 2nd ammendment rights to protect their own freedom. Lefties this is the real world...force is the "end all, be all" in situations of real life and death. You will learn this eventually... the hard way!!!
Democracy Now is the broadcast journalism equivalent of the ACLU. If there's anything they can do to paint America as evil, they'll do it.
I didn't hear what the actual charges were against these people. But by leaving that info out it makes it appear the police are in the wrong here. Give me the info, then I can make up my mind.
Communists & Socialists need to realize we don't want them. We like the USA the way it is, thanks.
Why are most women Leftist "documentarians" usually dikes?
STFU!! I am NOT a dike, but if I were I would deserve the same rights as any other American. I am ALSO not a communist nor a socialist. I don't think you even understand what those words mean. This is about false imprisonment/detainment of citizens with no legal reason for doing so. We have just as much right to freedom of speech as everyone else. I am ALSO not affiliated with any of these groups, but I believe that democracy must extend to all citizens.
"reasonable suspicion"? WTF is that? Is that like probable cause? Reasonable suspicion of what? Maybe you don't understand your rights, but the cops can't break into your house because of "reasonable suspicion". They need a WARRANT, supported by oath or affirmation, and describing WHERE to search (they had the wrong address) and what to search for (hostages - that's right, THAT's what they were "looking" for). This is OBVIOUSLY a violation of their rights.
"cops? can't break into your house because of "reasonable suspicion"."
--You're quoting "hippie rights," which are erroneous. The ACTUAL law allows the police to bust into your home if they have probably cause. That's how that phrase is used. How it applies here, I don't know, why not ask them?
"They need a WARRANT"
So if they're walking past a house & someone inside is screaming bloody murder or they hear gunfire, they run off to get a warrant?
OK, so you're REALLY talking about probable cause, but because you don't understand what it is, you call in "reasonable suspicion", which is completely different, and no, cops can't break into your house because of "reasonable suspicion". The standard is probable cause. This "hippie right" I'm talking is in the Fourth Amendment.
--I'm going to guess your listed age of 94 is a lie. Because if you were 94 you would have heard of reasonable suspicion because it was used just before probably cause became the phrase. Just like with "acts of terrorism" have become "man-made disasters."
"The standard is probable cause"
--Different words, same meaning.
"the Fourth Amendment"
--And an Amendment I like is the 2nd one, but that's no longer any good either, also thanks to Liberals.
The phrase is in the 4th Amendment. Before that, there were these things called "writs of assistance" used by the Brittish. They were based on "reasonable suspicion", which is one of the reason we overthrew them. You have NO IDEA what they you're talking about. People like you aren't going to be happy until we're living in a police state, and everyone is "safe and security".
You can't even bother to LEARN what freedoms you have, let alone defend them.
If the police were walking past a house & someone inside is screaming bloody murder or they hear gunfire, do they run off to get a warrant? Should they have to?
It's not legal for a cop to shoot somebody in the head, but it CAN BE legal IF they are armed and shooting people. This is because emergency situations are handled differently.
However, to answer your question, hearing screams come from a house is NOT probable cause, and no, cops don't have the right to break into my house if they hear my kids playing or me and my wife having sex.
My need for privacy trumps a policeman's imagination.
--MEANING...I'm right and you agree with me. I bet you HATE that, don't you?
"This is because emergency situations are handled differently"
--No shit, Sherlock.
"hearing screams come from a house is NOT probable cause"
--I think that's where the "screaming bloody murder" comes into play. I never wrote "kids playing" or you and your hairy-legged wife humping. But thanks for lying and taking my hypothetical and twisting it to mean something else.
Are you saying that the journalists were held against their will because of an emergency situation? Was somebody "screaming bloody murder"? Did the cops hear gunshots?
Also, are you saying a policeman has the right to break into your house if he hears kids playing which sounds like they're "screaming bloody murder"?
Let me simplify it for you:
Do you don't think cops should knock first, or should they just break in?
You can't even bring yourself to write "yes, you're correct." You are so full of hate, & you're so driven by your Leftist agenda, you can't even accept facts.
You know, Kitty Genovese screamed. All those in her apt building didn't help her. They all though it's the police's job to help her, not their's. And yes, the police were SUCH a big help, weren't they?
So when you're writing your reply here, remember her story. And try to make the case that such screams should remain a private matter.
Uhh... sure, and you're driven by your communist homosexual agenda.
"They all though it's the police's job to help her, not their's"
That's a good argument against police in the first place. Their very existence discourages others from taking responsibility for the safety of their neighborhood.
If I lived next door, I would have knocked or called. If I heard her screaming for help, I would have taken that as an invitation to enter with a gun.
"you're driven by your communist homosexual agenda"
--Good one.
"Their very existence discourages others from taking responsibility"
--The first thing police will do if you want to help is tell you to go back to your home & stay out of the way. The police are not going to help you if they're not there. Right?
"I would have taken that as an invitation to enter with a gun"
Why do you insist on calling me a liberal? Because I don't follow the standard neoconservative line? I believe in small government.
Do you think that those people really had hostages, or do you think that the cops placed false charges against them to keep them away from the protests?
--Because you sound like one. What am I to believe if you do?
"really had hostages"
--No, did I say they did?
"the cops placed false charges against them to keep them away from the protests"
--I'm going to guess they had intel that some in these groups were there just to cause trouble, or do worse. And they acted on that info. Because they did the same thing 4 years prior.
You see, it's perfectly ok for Libs to protest, but if Conservatives do so they're called Nazis.
It's not about "liberals" or "conservatives". The DNC had the same issues.
It doesn't matter if the cops did the wrong thing 4 years prior. It's still wrong to hold people against their will on false charge. All because of "intel"? Of what? Hostages (warrant)? Please. Besides, they're cops, not the military. Do you want to live under martial law?
These people were essentially punished for a "crime" they did not commit. That's not a violation of "hippy rights", those are AMERICAN rights.
--Didn't say that in the video, I watched it, more than once.
"Then you're simply being naive"
--Not quite. If there were trumped up false charges, they would have been arrested and booked. You don't make false charges and not follow through. What would be the point?
Some friends of mine were detained once, even handcuffed and frisked, because someone accused them of a crime. They weren't the ones, though. And after some questioning they were released.
Was that a crime? No. Was that a violation of their civil rights? No. That's life in a society. You don't have the right to not be arrested or detained.
False charges are a another matter. I don't think that's the case here.
Laws applied unequally to any citizens are deemed illegal and any attempt for an authority to enforce said law should be fought by legal and physical means.
I respect most police officers but they are starting to become a goon squad for the government. Blindly following orders excuse did not save the Nazis from prosecution and it wont save you here.
On part 1, I believe the law is not illegal, it's application or enforcement would be. Illegal bills are struck down before becoming law or after legal challenge. So those enforcing the law in an illegal way would be prosecuted.
On part 2, we agree. I recall a video of a former policeman, now an activist. He had two figures of a policeman. One was the old-time policeman in uniform with a smile & a wave, the other in SWAT gear & M16. He said one is a "public servant," the other is an "enforcer."
People need to get over this impression that all police are "good people".
They are PEOPLE like everybody else... and most, if they put in the position, will beat the shit out of someone and will love to do so. It doesn't matter who they hit.
Im not saying that all police will. There are some decent people out there, but there are also alot of indecent people as well.
"Fuck the police, coming straight out the underground."
Why? You dont help people who dont like police? Liking you isnt a requirment for your public service. Buck up coper, you have to save them if you like them, or they like you.
You folks have to file a lawsuit against them nonetheless, punishing this police department, if you are successful, is the most immediate thing you can do to protect the Constitution.
i would booby trap my entire house and hide in the basement and blow the fuck outta the pigs when they came in. then shoot the fuck outta them on my way out, steal one of their cars and fuck up whoever gave them orders to surround my house for being a news reporter
yeah, but then you be falling on thier trap. technically they cant surround your property without a warrant. If they are WAITING for a warrant they can be told to leave the premises and they have to comply, unless its a hostage situation or the persuit of a suspect. when cops die, i really dont loose sleep about, thats one less gun on the streets. and its funny the cops aint there when crimes occur, and if they are, they call SWAT like lil bitches with no heart or honor.
And I would be just as pissed if it were a Democratic govt in power and a conservative media being detained. This is inexcusable behavior. And why hasn't the mainstream press picked up on it!
DUDE were have you been? police no longer need a warrant or read you your rights and don not have to tell you why your being held. this is if they believe you to be a threat! yes this is real yes you can check it yes we are fucked. because THEY are the ones who choose which are the threat!
Pro-Abort Media Hens. How do u like the FACT that u have absolutely NO credibility or respect from ANYONE anymore. The venom & vomit u spew is enough keep u getting treated like this FOREVER. U deserve it, Hens!
Wow, the thought police. This judge should be disbarred for ignorance and stupidity and the city should face heavy fines and damages for destruction of private property. Clearly the journalist were compliant and subjects of intimidation. This seems eerily reminiscent of Salem witch hunts.
Read your Constitution and Bill of Rights - what the police are doing is illegal and I hope these the I Witness people sue the City of St. Paul....all the way to the Supreme Court. RNC took out an indemnity policy so the police could abuse citizens...so sue the bastards and collect some of those bux!
Didn't we fight a war about this once? Didn't we fight war so that we could have freedom of speech, the right to assemble and have a free and unhindered press? What is happening in America...how long are people going to put up with the erosion of the rights guaranteed under the constitution and bill of rights? How long are we going to let the new monarchist-neo-conservatives and Christian fundamentalists destroy our heritage before we do something? This is so depressing.
When they smashed the heads of liberals, I didn't care, I'm not a liberal. When they beat-up skateboarders, couldn't care less, I'm not a skateboarder. When they killed the Democratic leader in Arkansas, Didn't bother me, I'm a republican. When they tortured some anti-government types, rock-on, I love the government. When they took out those religious people, whatever, I'm a different religion. When they come for me, I guess there won't be anybody left to defend me. Whatever.
You are a prime example of the increased need for social programs. Without necessary government funds to educate the illiterate population, (such as yourself) one cannot research available social and political literature to be properly informed. Instead, the uneducated masses are heavily influenced by uniformed family members, right-wing propaganda outlets such as FOX news and fear stemming outspoken progressive voices citing the government as less than perfect.
Everyone who was detained in the house should sue every officer outside the house. Especially if you had to travel to Saint Paul. It cost you money in travel expenses and you were prevented from doing your job for no reason. Also sue the judge who signed the warrant. Hit them where it will hurt them strike fear into cops by making them think they may be sued for infringing on peoples rights.
"I am so impressed with the poise of the lawyer... since they cuffed her. THAT ALONE is unbelievable!"
Yes I agree that she behaved admirably in this hostile situation, but it just goes to prove that the American bills of rights has no meaning today. But there was no reason whatsoever to handcuff her she was no threat, again an abuse of human rights, much of what you'd expect in a Communist regime.Yes the NWO are now here in a show of force.
The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized. Thanks 4711inside for this video share.
I'm sorry but most people aren't this stupid. The people leaving these comments calling the protesters animals, etc. have to be online police-patrols. Ordinary people are not that brutish.
I'm not much for leaving comments but there was valid threats of malicious activity, a guy with a bomb who wanted to kill a lot of people. He was protesting the RNC, the people could have cooperated and nothing would have happened but they resisted that opportunity. They were not hurt, they were not unjustly held and like the end of the video this was done very orderly. I can see where preventing the possibility of thousands of deaths for the sake of a few protesters inconvenience is just.
I've heard some stupid remarks in the this video...acclaimed...some one is acclaimed...makes it sound like the cops knew who them personally...rofl. don't arrest me...wahhhh... wahhh..I'm famous...rofl.
looks like a bunch of marxist race mixers good for the police these animals don't deserve the rights of americans it's these commies who want to push the limits who are gonna cost people there rights cotizens if you know these people make them pay for there crimes
what are you saying? your the one with no value for your own human kind calling them Animal? Do you know these people? And why are the Police the ones with the Guns? Don't be surprise if they point it at you next because obviously they don;t care.. But thats okay you never listen so go head an enter De-Evolution
Emeraldgay4GDubya, go back to your latrine, idiot asshole. All these people should kick your ass out of the country, if you are living in the US. Who made you so dumb, stupid?

freedom of speach does not exist. Black people been trying to tell you guys this forever. now that the cameras is pointed against white people NOW maybe you will listen. freedom of speach "but just watch what you say" Police protect there own, they lie, cheat and steal and use the law to help them... they do good yes... but they also violate rights everyday.
The phrase: "protecting the constitution" can be so twisted and deformed that people will destroy it to protect it which is, in effect, happening with the American Union. In 10 or so years, when south america, Mexico, united states and Canada are all on country, the constitution will be obsolete and they can get rid of it.
guns drawn? "hands on your head"? do you feel proud of the work you're doing police? You swore an oath to the constitution did you not? who are the true criminals in this scenerio?
The police today are nothing but enforcement for a satanic beast system government. May they rot in hell for their part in the destruction of a once constitutional republic. Never let them take your guns.
This is only happening because none of the officers has the courage to resist this. They could be HEROES but instead are enabling fascism, shame on them! Those with POWER in our society should be using it to PROTECT liberty, not assault it.
And Bush Chided China on thier civil rights record and freedom of the press. All out fucking war man, people think they are free because they are blind to what is in front of thier nose.
I witness had nothing to do with the story you are referring to. The repubs don't want controversy so they have the police abuse other peoples civil rights. After the misconduct of the NYPD after the 2004 RNC convention. How can we trust the police to keep us safe when they engage in practices and break some of the same laws they have sworn to uphold?
I wish there were special cirminal charges for police lying under oath carrying maximum sentence of life in prison. Let them have a taste of own medicine.
The Ruling Clique can do whatever they want and get away with it, as they have for decades. Kennedy / OKC / 911 / Gulf of Tonkin, Vietnam / Pearl Harbor setup / Federal Reserve private bank / all the WW's and the bank inspired recessions which preceded them / CIA drug running / Diebold vote stealing....the list is endless.

NoGuff 3 years ago
2hotinaz 2 years ago
"I am NOT a dike, but if I were I would deserve the same rights as any other American"
--You would already have them, if you were.
"I am ALSO not a communist nor a socialist. I don't think you even understand what those words mean"
--I do.
"with no legal reason for doing so"
--They had reasonable suspicion.
"We have just as much right to freedom of speech"
--Helping plan a riot isn't free speech.
"democracy must extend to all citizens"
--It does, but it won't for long under Obama.
NoGuff 2 years ago
"-They had reasonable suspicion."
This is OBVIOUSLY a violation of their rights.
somecomputergeek 2 years ago
"Is that like probable cause?"
--Yes.
"cops? can't break into your house because of "reasonable suspicion"."
NoGuff 2 years ago
OK, so you're REALLY talking about probable cause, but because you don't understand what it is, you call in "reasonable suspicion", which is completely different, and no, cops can't break into your house because of "reasonable suspicion". The standard is probable cause. This "hippie right" I'm talking is in the Fourth Amendment.
somecomputergeek 2 years ago
"which is completely different"
--I'm going to guess your listed age of 94 is a lie. Because if you were 94 you would have heard of reasonable suspicion because it was used just before probably cause became the phrase. Just like with "acts of terrorism" have become "man-made disasters."
"The standard is probable cause"
--Different words, same meaning.
"the Fourth Amendment"
--And an Amendment I like is the 2nd one, but that's no longer any good either, also thanks to Liberals.
NoGuff 2 years ago
The phrase is in the 4th Amendment. Before that, there were these things called "writs of assistance" used by the Brittish. They were based on "reasonable suspicion", which is one of the reason we overthrew them. You have NO IDEA what they you're talking about. People like you aren't going to be happy until we're living in a police state, and everyone is "safe and security".
You can't even bother to LEARN what freedoms you have, let alone defend them.
somecomputergeek 2 years ago
You still didn't answer my question.
If the police were walking past a house & someone inside is screaming bloody murder or they hear gunfire, do they run off to get a warrant? Should they have to?
NoGuff 2 years ago
That is an example of an emergency situation.
My need for privacy trumps a policeman's imagination.
somecomputergeek 2 years ago
"That is an example of an emergency situation"
--MEANING...I'm right and you agree with me. I bet you HATE that, don't you?
"This is because emergency situations are handled differently"
--No shit, Sherlock.
"hearing screams come from a house is NOT probable cause"
--I think that's where the "screaming bloody murder" comes into play. I never wrote "kids playing" or you and your hairy-legged wife humping. But thanks for lying and taking my hypothetical and twisting it to mean something else.
NoGuff 2 years ago
Are you saying that the journalists were held against their will because of an emergency situation? Was somebody "screaming bloody murder"? Did the cops hear gunshots?
Also, are you saying a policeman has the right to break into your house if he hears kids playing which sounds like they're "screaming bloody murder"?
Let me simplify it for you:
Do you don't think cops should knock first, or should they just break in?
somecomputergeek 2 years ago
"Are you saying that the journalists were held against their will because of an emergency situation?
--Did they get a warrant? And what difference does it make that any of these people are journalists or lawyers? Are they somehow special?
"if he hears kids playing"
--Is that what I wrote?
"cops should knock first, or should they just break in?"
--I'd rather they broke in and be mistaken, than me & my family having our throats cut while he stands there and knocks waiting for an answer.
NoGuff 2 years ago
You can't even bring yourself to write "yes, you're correct." You are so full of hate, & you're so driven by your Leftist agenda, you can't even accept facts.
You know, Kitty Genovese screamed. All those in her apt building didn't help her. They all though it's the police's job to help her, not their's. And yes, the police were SUCH a big help, weren't they?
So when you're writing your reply here, remember her story. And try to make the case that such screams should remain a private matter.
NoGuff 2 years ago
"you're so driven by your Leftist agenda"
Uhh... sure, and you're driven by your communist homosexual agenda.
"They all though it's the police's job to help her, not their's"
That's a good argument against police in the first place. Their very existence discourages others from taking responsibility for the safety of their neighborhood.
If I lived next door, I would have knocked or called. If I heard her screaming for help, I would have taken that as an invitation to enter with a gun.
somecomputergeek 2 years ago
"you're driven by your communist homosexual agenda"
--Good one.
"Their very existence discourages others from taking responsibility"
--The first thing police will do if you want to help is tell you to go back to your home & stay out of the way. The police are not going to help you if they're not there. Right?
"I would have taken that as an invitation to enter with a gun"
--Bold words from a Liberal.
NoGuff 2 years ago
"Bold words from a Liberal. "
Why do you insist on calling me a liberal? Because I don't follow the standard neoconservative line? I believe in small government.
Do you think that those people really had hostages, or do you think that the cops placed false charges against them to keep them away from the protests?
Charges were dropped, you know.
No hostages found.
somecomputergeek 2 years ago
"calling me a liberal?"
NoGuff 2 years ago
It's not about "liberals" or "conservatives". The DNC had the same issues.
It doesn't matter if the cops did the wrong thing 4 years prior. It's still wrong to hold people against their will on false charge. All because of "intel"? Of what? Hostages (warrant)? Please. Besides, they're cops, not the military. Do you want to live under martial law?
These people were essentially punished for a "crime" they did not commit. That's not a violation of "hippy rights", those are AMERICAN rights.
somecomputergeek 2 years ago
"The DNC had the same issues"
--Yes, because of ultra-Leftists who cause trouble wherever they go.
"It doesn't matter if the cops did the wrong thing 4 years prior"
--So they made people get out of hand?
"Of what? Hostages (warrant)?"
--Again with the hostages. What hostages? Where did you get that? Why are you making things up?
"Besides, they're cops, not the military"
--And what did they do here that was militaristic? Weren't they waiting for a warrant? Military don't use warrants.
NoGuff 2 years ago
'-Again with the hostages. What hostages? Where did you get that? Why are you making things up?"
That's what the warrant was for.
somecomputergeek 2 years ago
"That's what the warrant was for"
--Didn't say that in the video, I watched it, more than once.
"Then you're simply being naive"
--Not quite. If there were trumped up false charges, they would have been arrested and booked. You don't make false charges and not follow through. What would be the point?
I think you're the one being naive here.
NoGuff 2 years ago
"punished for a "crime" they did not commit"
--That happens, we're only human.
NoGuff 2 years ago
'False charges are a another matter. I don't think that's the case here. "

SoLoLaamer 2 years ago 10
On part 1, I believe the law is not illegal, it's application or enforcement would be. Illegal bills are struck down before becoming law or after legal challenge. So those enforcing the law in an illegal way would be prosecuted.
On part 2, we agree. I recall a video of a former policeman, now an activist. He had two figures of a policeman. One was the old-time policeman in uniform with a smile & a wave, the other in SWAT gear & M16. He said one is a "public servant," the other is an "enforcer."

yeah, but then you be falling on thier trap. technically they cant surround your property without a warrant.

The phrase: "protecting the constitution" can be so twisted and deformed that people will destroy it to protect it which is, in effect, happening with the American Union.
