On the last scene Kareklas appears again and says again: " I won't say anything, what do you youwant, I'm not saying anything (repeats that for a bit), my last word, I won't say anything, I told you this is my last words, it's over".
..." I can assure you that the lepers have an advanced libido. Necessity made them help each other. They were together for their whole lives (he refers to the lepers couple he started talking about). He started losing his other limbs. At the end he only had two fingers. He was sure he would die before he lost them. After all he didn't get to lose them because he died".
...Such bad luck! Alone on that island. Definitely his mind was being affected (from the loneliness). That's the only explanation. Everybody had left, and was left alone. As a doctor I have many incidents to narrate. Particularly one leper lost his feet from here down (he shows) as the illness progressed. A woman had no arms. One leper helped the other. "....
The doctor appears again and says: " When they came to take him, by force of course, he kept saying ... I'm not leaving, I'm not leaving, I won't go anywhere. Eventually they got him, forced him in the boat and took him with them. He said, you can't make me go, because a whole flagship protecting me! Poor guy! It seems something happened to him, he saw graven ships on the ground and he thought he owned them..."
The man after the policemen repeats the line: "The last Turk that left this island, climb over a high rock to jump in the sea, so he could catch up with the rest of them. On that rock ,he left his footprint, and they built a church there, so our people would remember that incident".
Again the two Policemen repeating the phrase: "Goodmornig, how are you?" Then only the one policeman keeps repeating and the other policeman tells him : "What are you saying?". Then the first policeman says should he turn the other way?" the cameraman say: "No, stay as you are". The policemen start repeating their previous lines: "We took him from there, we saved him".
"...the had basins that were filled with rain water. No organizing! All the people that went there were destined to die. They all new of course that they would die one day. Many stories are told. This moment that I'm talking to you in front of the camera, that man could be already dead. There are many many stories!"
"...supposedly. In Spinalonga all the houses were destroyed, even the clinic didn't function properly. Of course he went back to civilization" After the music session the doctor appears again and says: "Eventually, the only thing that's left in Spinalonga is an old generator, the only way for them to get light (at night). On the other hand this is silly, because they didn't even have running water..."
He stayed alone!... When the last lepers had left the island, his relatives thought it was time for him to leave as well! The forced him! They went to the authorities and asked to bring him back. The authorities took him back to a civilized environment."
The man after the "doctor" repeats the words: " I took him with my boat, he ate lizards". Doctor: "Odd thing! How did he make it to stay all alone in that island? Venetians, Saracens and Turks passes from here! They send away all the lepers away. He wa
...When the authorities went there they found no bones, given the fact that the lizards have no bones, they found many lizard heads, so they suspected he ate lizards".
Kareklas appears again. A man asks him to say something and he keeps saying "I won't say anything, no I won't say a thing". Next , a man that claims to be a doctor talks about the leper. He says "I really don't know what happened to him, he probably ate thorns, tomatoes, wild herbs, maybe even lizards. Of course they found no lizards there...
The second man says: "Since they brought him, he stays in all day and plays (music). At night he comes to my shop, he plays the lyra and he sings, but he doesn't speak at all. He is the best musician in Crete.
The two policemen at the start say: "we took him from there, we saved him" and they keep repeating this, apparently in a director's request. The cameraman asks them to look the camera.
The story is about the last leper in Spinalonga, a small island close to Creta, where lepers where send, as their illness was considered contagious back then. All the men shown here talk about this man. The guy that appears first is "supposedly" that last leper (that's what the director is implying). Of course he is not an actual leper but a renown Cretan lyra player. His name is Antonis Papadakis or Kareklas, a nickname given to him because of his occupation (Karekla= chair)

this is actually a "documentary" about this person you see in the beginning, who was the last remainder on the island of Spinalonga (near Crete, Greece). Spinalonga was an exile place for lepers and this man was living on his own, maybe even eating lizards. When they found him he was saying he was protected by these ships that were drawn on the rocks. They took him back to Crete, where he sits home and says nothing.
He only plays the lyra and sings in the evenings in a taverna and the other musician says he is the best lyra player on the whole island. In the end he keeps repeating "i say nothing.."

It's Greek and they're talking about this old man, who'd been living on an island all by himself, reluctant to leave and refusing to talk.
