Actually hes repeating one and the same phrases in different lanugages. I can guess whats.. hes talking about hobbies, and how he love to speak in different languages But still you are a good example for an average american :)
Laoshu, you need to work on the pronunciation with the Korean vowels. As an American learning Korean, I understood what you were trying to say, but the natives won't understand. For example, the word for yesterday is pronounced "uh-jay", not "o-jay."
@skeeterses I understand him... for me, he spoke Korean better than many foreign students who have been learning Korean for a long time here (in Korea)
He said : Everyone hello, I am studying Korean now. However, yesterday I did something again. (In 1st sentence) BTW dude, u do not say sa-sil in a situation like the first sentence, because it means"Truth is." I know what he is saying (even though it is hard to depict what he is saying with the thick American accent) and I am to lazy to type it all. Other then that, GJ man.
@brianelitelion thats racist this man has dedicated years of work to further understand the world abroad and you are going to ask an asinine question like that its not funny either its people like you that prevent the world from progressing and growing with love and understanding.
wooooooooow .. im really amazed with u're languages .. i want to learn french -japanese n korean too lol so i think it's not that possible right? but where did u learn all these languages???
It is possible. As long as you're motivated to learn these languages, you can do it. I've been learning languages just on my own. Thanks for the comment.
@laoshu505000 oh sure thanx alot.. actually i already have one.. im concentrating on learning korean now.. n u said that u're learning languages by urself.. so from where did u learn it? i mean i know the basic but i want some more things to learn like to be fluent in it .. sorry if im bothering
sorry for not making it clear... i meant things like greetings-alphabets--etc which are the main things of the language.. so i wanted to know more than these main things
Every time I am trying to listen to the Korean words, my brain automatically tries to translate it in English in my head and I get left behind. Have you ever experience this? I can't seem to stop it. Any tips?
Im pretty sure you have no facts to that, except the theory that Japanese and Chinese are more dominant languages which you think will mix to born Korean
I believe Korean is just totally different language for its accent differs alot and its writing can be spotted easier than comparing Japanese to Chinese script
Actually, as someone who is fluent in Chinese and is currently learning Korean, I find that there are many Korean words that are somewhat similar to their Chinese equivalents in terms of pronunciation. (Granted, there are some words which bear no perceivable similarity). As for Japanese, I'm no expert here, but I do believe that Japanese and Korean share many grammatical similarities. I do agree with you that in terms of modern day Korean script, Korean is distinctly different.
I enjoyed watching your videos. I live in Korea now and speak Han-guk-eo too. It's impressive that you've been able to get a handle on this and all the other languages simply by studying in America. Kudos to you!
when you were talking about your age, I think you were stuck for the right word. For your information, it should be 스물일곱 살..
Very impressive, especially given the fact that you haven't even visited Korea. If you want to study Korean at more depth and take it to the next level, I advise you to learn -했어요 form and use it for speaking rather than -했습니다 form.
whoa.. you're good, but your accent is kinda thick. haha. still really good! 화이팅!!
