gee, it kinda sounds like an insult. i guess every good asian violinists are considered normal (i mean come on, playing violin isnt THAT hard if ur an ASIAN), but when a caucasian is able to play a scale, its big news around here. ok, to be fair, josh bell is definitely uniquely gifted, but to say something like that is extremely unprofessional for a news channel.

He is my favorite violinist! I love his incredible and breathtaking performance. Believe it or not i tried out on my best friend's violin before playing the cello, and i couldn't get the richness like Joshua Bell did, but by then I was a very young girl, I think when I was 4 or 5. Now I play the french horn.

So humble he is. He gave me my appreciation for the violin. I can tell his sound right off. I saw him win the 17 mag. competition in Rochester, NY at the Eastman Theater, March 1, 1982 when he was a high school freshman. I have the program.
