He said this song was made when his mother told him something: that if someone asks you 'how's everything?' and you answer 'hmm nothing much, good', then the person asked you wouldn't be so appreciated, because we don't wanna see others being happy when we're in the hardships. we want to see them being sad just as we are. so he thought what he would say when people who he doesn't like much ask him 'how's everything?'. just to make them to think he's having a way better life than they are.

I just feel like the theme of this artist revolves around everyday obvious things, like this song it's not about how there's nothing in life, it emphasizes how much he loves living, how liberated he is from worries. Somehow I feel like this is a wishful thinking on the artists part.

They're always worried about something, and the singer is saying how they would be so shocked and almost annoyed to find him living effortlessly without any worries or troubles. Basically he's saying just enjoy life.
