  • @braincarpenter86 When i am on the interstate i do not drive it over 75 (unless playing around). Keep your rpm's down below 2300 and it is amazing the gas mileage these cars can get. Also i do have a viper spec t-56 that helps out a little and a hell of a tune ;). My idle is set around 780-840. It jumps around depending on the temperature and humidity.

  • clean i miss my gt 2v ftw

  • nice GT how do you like the trick flow heads? my heads are getting p&p all new spings/ valves. with hi tech stage 2 cams + all the bolt ons. im shooting for around 330rwhp. what were your numbers? and btw the termie hood and bumper no wing combo looks secksi..

  • @stuntrider Yes its a N/A 2V that runs 11's (with the recent addition of the trickflow heads) and its my daily driver.... whats your daily driver run? As for the cobra hood and bumper, they look way better than the stock bumper and hood. If you look, i still have all the GT badges so its not a cobra poser. Best of all it gets 25 mpg thanks to my viper spec t56. I can drive it rain or shine, dark or light, hot or cold.

  • @deltavstang How do you get 25MPG? I have a stock 2000 gt aside from the welded on flowmaster 40's and two cut cats and I get 16-17. Did the cams hurt or help your mileage? and it sounds like your idle is tune really low, is that the case?

  • @briancarpenter86 he's talking highway mpg's...

  • hey whats up was that a pain in the ass to put the cams in because i want to go mod and it just seems really hard with the motors because i am use to the 5 o ho

  • Lets just say, I'd rather put a cam in about ten 5.0's rather than do one more 2V cam job.

And if you plan on going mod motor, I'm assuming you're gonna want a 4V.....Dont bother with cams, let someone else do it

  • Them cams are great i have them in my 99 gt

  • So, is that what happened to VT? they turned into CMS?

Is it actually VT? or just the guy that made their cams just kept making them after VT closed?? I have VT blower cams on my 2 valve, but that cars on the back burner since I got my Lightning.

  • Jim Cushman, one of the former owners of VT made his own company CMS (Cushman Motorsports). The Co owners from Canada really fcuked over a lot of Jims customers and employees. Jim is a great guy and I've talked to him several times for advice. The cams are teh exact same grinds.

  • Bullet Racing Cams grinds the cam profiles now. They are not regrinds. IIRC, I paid 528 shipped for my 2.5 Blower cams. I also dyno'd 50 more rwhp without changing anything else and staying at the same 10lbs of boost.

  • where did you buy those cams? sounds great, would sound really good on my SC'ed 01 bullitt. =)

  • CMS - Cushman MotorSports, the brains behind VT Engines' program.

  • Sweet dude,,,,,, those cams are my winter project.
