@sjwimmel I know, euhm.. let me think..: Burn (Shannon Noll), One Angry Dwarf (Ben Folds Five), Broken Tonight (Jennifer Hyland), Crawl (Tone Damli Aaberge, Other side Of Me (Bertolf).
That's it.
Good luck with searching for the original songs.. I can't find it.
If you find, can you post it on YouTube, or send me a message?
To be honest.. Van Velzen's cover of this is SO much better that it's a whole new song. This is just rubbish, even I could sing it like this. Easy high note every now and then and almost talking as this guy is... thank you Van Velzen for improving this song
Why is it a contest here? I am sure David is flattered and happy that Velzen has had a big hit with his song.
David is now a songwriter with Sony and doing very well, maybe even works with Lemar again! - he plays great piano and has simply the voice of an angel I've heard several say....
Hi Everyone. Just to clear things up. David Sneddon wrote this in 2003 and it was released in the October of that year. I have two copies at home. There was also an Almighty mix with David singing which is on this page. ALL other versions are covers. If you can get in touch with Van Velsen I'm sure he will confirm it.
to add - David's vocals live are perfect, better than on the recordings. . this is not true for many singers. I'm not sure what happens in the recording studio, also on the radio his voice is wonderful live and acoustic.
I've been to several of his gigs and he is also tall and very good looking.
Forgot to say, if we are going to be personal, David is 6ft, veryslim and handsome with a killer smile. Don't know if others who have recorded this song as a cover look the same.
There really is no need to be rude, you should meet David in person, he has such a warm personality.
Well this video is rather too yellow! And the production could certainly be better. David wrote this hit song in 2003 and its been a hit on the dancefloor and for Van Velzen since then. As for Davids singing voice he won Fame academy, beating over 36,000 other singers in 2002!
He works as a songwriter in London, check out his top selling EP indiestore.
Hi. There are two videos for this single. I think this is the directors cut. In the other ther is some stunning footage of David wearing a white hooded top and looking gorgeous. Oh and he doesn't leave her behind in that one
If this track couldn't break the reality show curse, I don't know what could. I have the original single version, but I never caught the video. Thanks for posting this clip...
no sorry - 'Baby Get Higher' was a song written by David in 2003 and he released it in Oct 2003 when it charted in the UK Top 40. I believe Dutch artist Van Velzen had a hit with the song in 2006.
This is a great song. David never promoted it as he was on the verge of walking out of Mercury. Great B sides too. Especially Love Actually which was written for the film and then, due to wrangling over performing rights was never used. No wonder he quit. That song would have made him worldwide.
Fuken luv the Sned !!!!!

Check David singing Dignity, One Old Soul or White Noise.
"Baby Get Higher" was written by David Sneddon, Mark Read & Graham Stack - re Wikpedia. Which is usually correct I believe.

Hi there,
Check out the fab dance version of David's 'Baby Get Higher' - the Almighty remix - considered one of the best remixes they made.
It was a big hit in the clubs. Dutch artist Van Velzen also covered this song in 2006 - and had a big hit with it.
Davids NEW EP has been No 1 indiestore charts in 2007 & 2008
Lauryn74K 3 years ago
danny you are definately wrong. David's version came out Oct 2003 and Van Velzen used it for his debut single in 2006. That is absolutely true.

And he is singing 'Baby Get Haier',

His voice annoys me a bit (you could take "hiiiiiigher" a bit too literal), I prefer the cover by VanVelzen.
